Review Summary

Reviews of Restaurant Cuisine Cantonaise reflect a mixed experience: some diners praise fast service, generous portions and flavorful Cantonese dishes, while others criticize cleanliness and hygiene, mentioning rodent droppings and a need for renovation. Friendly staff and good value for casual meals are noted by some, but there are also reports of undercooked or microwaved dumplings, wrong dishes, and inconsistent quality. Overall, the food is often described as tasty and satisfying for a casual night out, with reasonable prices, but recurring hygiene concerns and uneven preparation temper the impression for many guests.

Came here for late night supper after spa day at Bota Bota, place was still open at 10pm. Got pipa tofu, steamed pork with salted egg yolk (very tradish homey Canto dish, perfect with rice) & beef noodles (gan chow ngo hor) hit the spot perfectl

Really good food! Tea is included in your supper order :) beef black bean was delicious! If you're very sensitive to spicy food like me, it does have a spicy edge. The duck was also very good !

A good Cantonese chef is definitely not afraid of fire. Very good at making the "beef fried with ho-fen ". Suggestion: Invite your cantonese friend to access the best parts of their extensive menu.

The first thing I have to say about this restaurant is the wok Hei is on point. You can't go wrong with the beef padsew. The smoky flavour that the wok gives, you can't find it everywhere. The salt & pepper calamari are just fingerlicious. The spiciness combines with the wok hei is so fragrant. I like to have the snow flower fat beef hot pot. The beef is so tender, but sometimes the cut is too tick. The small pot can easily feed 3 adults. In terms of service, it can be improved. Don't really expect top-notch customer services in Chinatown. The decor is typically chinese restaurant decor. The price is very good for the quality & quantity.

I have ordered many times from this place because they have a large crab asparagus soup. I don't know if it is really crab, but I like it, & it really hits the spot when you need a warm soup & a light meal. It deserves four stars. I tried many other dishes, the lemon chicken, which I really liked until I found one that blew it away. So say 4 stars as well, but really 3. However, it non-fried chicken dishes, I did not like their chicken meat. In beef dishes, I did not like their beef. I tried the steamed shrimp dumpling as a started, & that was perfect; 5 stars. But the hunan dumplings were tasteless, 2 or 3 stars. I will continue ordering when I really need that soup, with that dumpling. But on average, it really is average.
