Mai Xiang Yuan is one of Montreal’s best dumpling restaurants. If you’re looking for a casual, cheap and speedy place to grab a bite, Mai Xiang Yuan is for you. Li Hui opened the Chinatown location in 2010, and a second location Downtown shortly after. They have been serving up steamy and flavourful Chinese dumplings since!

The dumplings here were so yummmyyy. We ate them all up within 10 minutes. Our meal even came with a delicious free seaweed salad. The service was great, & the atmosphere was cutely decorated. 10/10 reccomend!!

Je vais chez Mai Xiang Yuan depuis longtemps & à chaque fois je suis ravis, les dumpling sont délicieux & leurs salades sont tout aussi bonne, je recommande à tout les amateur de dumpling d'y aller, meilleur place a dumpling de Montréal

Mai Xiang Yuan is an absolute gem that delivers an unforgettable culinary experience from start to finish. We began our meal with two refreshing cold starters: the Cucumber Salad & Wood Ear Mushroom Salad-both perfectly seasoned with just the right balance of garlic, vinegar, & sesame oil. Each bite was crisp, clean, & packed with flavour. But the star of the appetizer round was definitely #55: the Cilantro & Black Mushroom Salad. Earthy, aromatic, & beautifully balanced, it offered a unique texture & taste that elevated the entire dining experience
For the main event, we shared an order of fried pork & cabbage dumplings-crispy on the outside & juicy within, each dumpling bursting with well-seasoned filling that left us wanting more. The boiled lamb & spring onion dumplings were equally exceptional: tender, comforting, & infused with the subtle sweetness of spring onion that paired beautifully with the richness of the lamb.
Everything was made even better with a couple of cold Tsingtao beers to wash it all down. The pairing of the dumplings & Tsingtao was nothing short of perfect-light, refreshing, & incredibly satisfying.
Service was prompt, friendly, & welcoming. This is a spot where tradition meets quality, & every dish reflects the care & craft of true culinary artistry. We'll be back-soon, & often.

Was delicioussss! Went at 13h30, took dumplings, soup, Kim chi & cucumber salad. So so soo affordable also! Service was next level, he was so sweet, punctual. Would go back just for him!

Vous avez envie de manger des Dumplings Chinois? Je vous recommande ce resto Mai Xiang Yuan. Il a de toutes les sortes dumplings bouillis, frits & cuits @ la vapeur. La soupe @ l'aigre-douce n'est pas la meilleure mais c'est bien pour debuter votre repas. Les entrees salade aux concombres & aux algues se sont mes preferees. Je vous recommande le plat classique dumplings au porc hache & batchoy bouillis, dumplings poulet aux champignons, dumplings porc hache avec ciboulettes frits & dumplings xiaolung bat porc hache & batchoy. Noubliez pas d'ajouter la sauce maison vinaigrette & piquante du resto @ vos dumplings. Vous devez aller avec un petit groupe de 4 @ 6 personnes comme ca vous pouvez deguster differents plats de dumplings du menu. Je vous garantie que vous allez adorer votre experience. Le prix est raisonable & c'est le moins chers en ville. Chaque morceau de dumpling etait bien farci avec une portion genereuse de viande & des legumes. Vous devez venir y gouter & decouvrir vous memee @ quel point c'est bon! N'oublie pas d'apportez de l'argent comptant car il n'accepte pas de carte de credit. J'ai tellement été surprise à ma première visite! Par les bas prix, le très bon goût & la rapidité du service. 28$ tx incluses pour 15 dumplings au porc, 2 salades de concombres & 4 raviolis à l'arachide c'est tellement un bon prix! Je vais y retourner c'est sur. Le seul hic c'est que c'est argent comptant seulement, mais il y a une machine ATM à l'entrée du resto.

My favourite dumpling spot in Montreal! I wish they still had the fried tomato egg dumplings but we enjoyed the chicken curry ones a lot. Cucumber salad was delicious as well.
