La soupe wonton aux crevettes était savoureuse. J'ai adoré les juicy dumplings à l'agneau. Il faudra que j'y retourne pour essayer les dumplings frits!
Super cute little restaurant. The food is really good. I recommend the dumplings & the wonton soup. A must go in Chinatown Mtl! Btw, it's cash only, but it isn't expensive so it worth it
While visiting Montreal for just a day, I knew I had to explore Chinatown & enjoy some authentic Chinese cuisine. I came across Mai Xiang Yuan Dumpling, a spot with solid ratings & promising reviews.
The moment you step in, it gives off that classic, old-style Chinese restaurant vibe - cozy, unpretentious, & full of character. The staff are warm & welcoming, making the dining experience even better. One thing to note: they only accept cash, so be sure to have some on hand before you go.
The food itself is excellent & truly authentic. Their dumplings are packed with flavor & made fresh, & the soup is just as satisfying - comforting, rich, & perfectly balanced.
If you're in Chinatown, Montreal, & want a genuine dumpling experience, Mai Xiang Yuan is well worth a visit. Just remember to bring cash & an appetite.
Excellent dumplings, they taste home made & good price. Highly recommend for dumpling fans. We had the soup beef dumplings, the mushroom & cabbage & the dim sum shrimp ones. Cash only tho.

Was delicioussss! Went at 13h30, took dumplings, soup, Kim chi & cucumber salad. So so soo affordable also! Service was next level, he was so sweet, punctual. Would go back just for him!
