Dumplings were quite tasty. Cash only place. It was annoying when they asked for tips directly staring into my eyes & smiling, really really annoying...View more
I went there with my partner after eating some noodles close by & I was very disappointed. The Xiao Long Bao were lying flat which is a bad sign. & then only 2 out of the 10pc had broth in them. Almost all the other had holes on the sides. & the taste was what we would get from frozen store-bought Bao. & on the side we had 4pc Siu Mai & me & my partner agree that those were the worst we have ever had. The dough was sooooo thick, & very chunky with an absence of flavors that is shameful. I read in other reviews that they forced customers to pay a 15% tip but it was not my case & they never mentioned it. Although maybe it's because I complained that the Bao had no broth. I do not recommend anyone to go there if you like flavorful Asian food or want your money's worth for a meal. I hope their business gets better tho 🤞🏼View more
The food was fine, but it was a bit bland. The service was mediocre. It took forever to order & the server wasn't attentive. When we were paying, the server had the audacity to admonish multiple customers for not tipping enough. I can't believe this type of behavior is normalized. If the manager is reading this, please let your staff know that tips are 100% voluntary, & they must work for their tips & not expect a handout when they haven't even done the bare minimum.View more
Dumplings are OK, not particularly nice shape, but the service was really bad. Rude barking already at the entry, at the end they wanted to add tip themselves. Never again.View more
The Shanghai style soup dumplings are good but the fried ones aren't - forced tips were a pleasant surpriseView more
The first thing I'm told is that it's cash only; then when it's time to pay, the price was higher than what I expected, so I asked for the bill; the guy didn't even printed out the bill. After seeing the bill, he already charged "tips" in the price. Since when tips are automatically added in the invoice? The dumplings looked good but flavorless.View more
Updated review: This business absorbed the reviews from our previous favorite soup dumpling place called "bien maison" which was a solid 5 stars. Today we tried this new place & while the soup dumpling where exellent, the staff gave us attitude when we payed because we gave 15% tip which is supposed to be good. This ruined the experience for us.View more
Good food, but dishonest with invoicing. They have a hidden "TIP" fee of 15% & ask for another TIP on top of that. They are very reluctant to provide an invoice. I was very disappointed to experience this trickery.View more
