Mai Xiang Yuan is an absolute gem that delivers an unforgettable culinary experience from start to finish. We began our meal with two refreshing cold starters: the Cucumber Salad & Wood Ear Mushroom Salad-both perfectly seasoned with just the right balance of garlic, vinegar, & sesame oil. Each bite was crisp, clean, & packed with flavour. But the star of the appetizer round was definitely #55: the Cilantro & Black Mushroom Salad. Earthy, aromatic, & beautifully balanced, it offered a unique texture & taste that elevated the entire dining experience
For the main event, we shared an order of fried pork & cabbage dumplings-crispy on the outside & juicy within, each dumpling bursting with well-seasoned filling that left us wanting more. The boiled lamb & spring onion dumplings were equally exceptional: tender, comforting, & infused with the subtle sweetness of spring onion that paired beautifully with the richness of the lamb.
Everything was made even better with a couple of cold Tsingtao beers to wash it all down. The pairing of the dumplings & Tsingtao was nothing short of perfect-light, refreshing, & incredibly satisfying.

J'y suis allé avec un ami hier soir après une conférence à montréal. J'avais vu que c'était une belle place pour les dumpling.
Quand nous sommes rentrés, l'endroit n'était pas super propre, beaucoup de pack de cannettes trainés par terre, les tables pas super propre mais bon.
Deuxième chose à savoir, ils n'acceptent pas de cartes débit ou crédit. Il faut payer cash & vous avez un distributeur interac bien sur :) dans l'établissement.
Nous nous sommes partagés plusieurs bouchées à la vapeur , crevettes, poulet, boeuf coriandre, etc...
C'était correct mais sans plus. Le monsieur de la place n'explique pas vraiment comment le menu fonctionne, etc...

everytime i hear the word dumpling i think of this place. they're amazing. porc & chinese cabbage is the best, my boyfriend loves the shrimp ones too. they're super juicy & the perfect level of oily (not too much, not too dry!) i can eat a whole container of them & never complain.
cash only & there is an atm. small location but you can order takeout (that's what we do). workers always seem a little disgruntled whenever i come pick up my order, but we all have bad daysView more

After a long bus tour, we were alighted at the China town gates, the tour guide recommendedstopto go into China Town. As we entered, Mai Xiang dumplings caught our eye. Vous avez envie de manger des Dumplings Chinois? Je vous recommande ce resto Mai Xiang Yuan. Il a de toutes les sortes dumplings bouillis, frits & cuits @ la vapeur. La soupe @ l'aigre-douce n'est pas la meilleure mais c'est bien pour debuter votre repas. Les entrees salade aux concombres & aux algues se sont mes preferees. Je vous recommande le plat classique dumplings au porc hache & batchoy bouillis, dumplings poulet aux champignons, dumplings porc hache avec ciboulettes frits & dumplings xiaolung bat porc hache & batchoy. Noubliez pas d'ajouter la sauce maison vinaigrette & piquante du resto @ vos dumplings. Vous devez aller avec un petit groupe de 4 @ 6 personnes comme ca vous pouvez deguster differents plats de dumplings du menu. Je vous garantie que vous allez adorer votre experience. Le prix est raisonable & c'est le moins chers en ville. Chaque morceau de dumpling etait bien farci avec une portion genereuse de viande & des legumes.
