Hanni is such an amazing bartender, or should I say MIXOLOGIST. I ask for an aperol spritz & he looked at me & said "I GOT YOU WITH NY PERSONAL TWIST". He then proceed to add grapefruit juice to it. What a delight. Also legbtq2s+++ friendly.

Dunno bout the food, but it smells some good!! Lotsa downhome atmosphere here!!! 🎶 I LOVE THIS BAR!!! 🎶 & when you go there see Magic Marlin!!! Best magic in a drink in the whole ah canahhhdaaaaaa!!! Confusing spot in Old Montreal. Stopped in for a drink while touring the city & couldn't figure out if I was on Bourbon Street in New Orleans or at a bar that was on the brink of closing. Granted I was there early in the evening & the wait staff mentioned it gets busy towards the late hours of the night.

The sign outside the front door says "Showbar". Asked one of the bartenders what that means, & they mentioned they haven't done any shows since COVID.

Seems like this spot might be a victim of COVID, but could be cool if they got the atmosphere inside figured out & followed through with the "experience" the signs & menus seem to portray.

Didn't get any food to be able to review that, but the menu seemed to have a lot of standard bar fare.

I decided last minute to run in here & try the Fish & Chips & was surprised at the really delicious flavor it had. I do see some reviews saying it was burnt, which I can understand but I personally like it extra crispy so everything was good to me.
Service was very nice & I was able to watch the Friday night football game. Got to meet a cute dog in the bar too very nice
