Stumbled upon this pub playing Irish music with a blowup Guinness on St. Patrick's Day. Saw maybe 10 people but thought we'd give it a try. We walked up the stairs & were not acknowledged at all; we approached the bar & they gestured to a table, where we sat & waited for someone to attend to us. I went to the bar to ask for a drink & there were 3 people working the bar; however, I waited for three minutes & no one served me, despite my multiple gesturing &'excuse me's. I walked to the other side to get their attention & I was dismissed to another waiter, who also ignored me. A fellow patron was served a pint of Guinness 3/4 full & very poorly poured. My girlfriend & I decided to find another spot, at which point a waiter came & asked us, regrettably, if we were leaving.
We were not helped until they saw us putting our jackets on. So disappointing, especially for an Irish person on St. paddy's Day. Dodged a bullet for sure. So unfortunate. Would not recommend to my worst enemy.
I went to Pub St. Paul & honestly had the best service I've ever experienced. Our bartender, Eddy, was incredible. Everything came out quickly, the drinks were made perfectly, & he kept the whole experience fun with jokes & great energy!
The food was really good too, but what will keep me coming back to Pub St. Paul is Eddy's unmatched service. He truly made the night.
If you ever see this-thank you, Eddy. Best bartender ever!

Honnêtement, ça pourrait être un bar exceptionnel.
Cependant, devoir attendre que le responsable du bar & ses adjoints finissent de danser & de boire des verres, afin de daigner s'occuper des clients est pénible, sans compter le nettoyage de notre table par nos soins.
J'ai ressenti de l'indifférence, alors que j'attendais un minimum de service.
Bref, un bon cadre, de bonnes bières, mais du mauvais personnel...
My friend paid 17$ for a pina colada, he planned on tipping cash however as the bartender saw that he didn't tip on the machine, she tossed the machine onto the counter & snorted. After making us wait 10 minutes & serving other customers first, she came to us & said'we serve based on tips, & you didn't tip' my friend had the 5$ in his hand however after seeing this the bartender told us to keep it. I believe that whether you tip immediately or not you should be served with the same care as someone who tips upfront.
This place is great. I didn't have any food but I hung out at the bar for a couple hours on my night out. It's not a dive bar, but dive adjacent, & a cool place to hang. Eddy & Sara were great & made me feel welcome in this city. 6 stars.
We are Americans it's our first time in Montréal. Bartenders gave us a great intro to the city!! They were super welcoming & fun! Definitely recommend!!
Beau restaurant bar avec beau décor. Vue magnifique avec de grandes portes fenêtres qui s'ouvre sur la ruelle avec petites boutiques ou du côté du vieux-port. Cependant, le service est pratiquement inexistant malgré que chaque fois que j'y vais, ce n'est pas très bondé. La nourriture est correct.
Maybe it wasn't a good day for the staff, let's go with that... I sat at the bar & waited over 5 min until I asked for a beer (a very quiet Thursday night), then my Guiness was noooot poured as it should have been. Again, maybe a bad Thursday for staff .. :
So many dudes. If you're a dude & want a redbull & a bunch of beers to be drank amongst all the dudes,,,come to the dude bar. A place to get your fill of dudes & beer.

J'y suis allé pour le Super Bowl. Vieux mobilier & mauvaise ambiance. Pas rénové depuis au moins 20 ans. Mauvais service. Nous avons reçu un plat pour une personne 30 minutes après l'arrivée des plats pour les autres personnes. Aucun rabais malgré leur erreur. Le serveur a dit que la pizza prenait plus de temps à cuire que les autres choses. A éviter à moins de vouloir payer trop cher pour de la Mauvaise qualité. Le proprio mise clairement sur l'immobilier & non son bar qui tombe en ruines. Triste car il y aurait du potentiel...
