Stumbled upon this pub playing Irish music with a blowup Guinness on St. Patrick's Day. Saw maybe 10 people but thought we'd give it a try. We walked up the stairs & were not acknowledged at all; we approached the bar & they gestured to a table, where we sat & waited for someone to attend to us. I went to the bar to ask for a drink & there were 3 people working the bar; however, I waited for three minutes & no one served me, despite my multiple gesturing &'excuse me's. I walked to the other side to get their attention & I was dismissed to another waiter, who also ignored me. A fellow patron was served a pint of Guinness 3/4 full & very poorly poured. My girlfriend & I decided to find another spot, at which point a waiter came & asked us, regrettably, if we were leaving.
We were not helped until they saw us putting our jackets on. So disappointing, especially for an Irish person on St. paddy's Day. Dodged a bullet for sure. So unfortunate. Would not recommend to my worst enemy.
Had an amazing Christmas eve here. Great food, fantastic ambience looking over the skywheel with some really lovely music. Cassandra & Margaret were such amazing, professional & kind waitresses. Very sweet & courteous, ever since me & my friend walked into the restaurant. Thank you for a warm experience.
Cool spot to get poutine & see The Last Supper painting with musical legends.
Been going to this place for more than 30 years. Love the atmosphere. Food, music & pool tables.
Sara a donnée un super bon service! Elle était très attentionnée & gentille. Bonne music.
Ambiente muy bueno. Vistas perfectas del viejo puerto. La camarera ha sido extraordinariamente amable y agradable, se ha preocupado sobre mis alergias alimentarias proponiendo soluciones y alternativas. El plato estrella es e Fish & Chips "all you can eat" por solo 27 dólares. Vine con amigos y repetiré en cuanto pueda. La decoración te recibe con. Un gran cuadro de la Santa Cena pero con estrellas del rock es toda una declaración de intenciones y la música ambiental confirma lo anunciado. Muy recomendado.
For a bar that is "rock" themed, the music choices are WAY off. I didn't know British rappers were considered rock.
Our server, Christian, was very attentive & polite. We spoke poor French, & he instantly switched over to English. This was a nice touch. I ordered the flank steak with peppercorn sauce. The steak was so tender that I could cut it with a fork. That's the first time I've been able to do that with any cut that wasn't a filet mignon. My wife got the chicken filet with mushroom sauce, & it was so juicy! The music fit the vibe of the pub perfectly. We are in the city for another week & plan to come back for dinner again.
I had a great experience at St. Paul Pub in Montreal. The location was fantastic, offering a picturesque view of the Ferris wheel. The music & ambiance were just right, creating a pleasant atmosphere. I couldn't resist trying the nachos with cheese, & they were superb. However, one aspect that left me a bit disappointed was when the server added the tip to the bill without my consent, which I didn't appreciate. Overall, it was a great visit, but the server's tip handling was a minor hiccup in an otherwise enjoyable experience.

Very delicious dishes, pretty much all of them! If you're looking for a pub ambiance, live music & a kitchen that's open late, you found the best place!
