Opened in 1971 by Giuseppe Lenti, Piazza Romana was originally a very small restaurant. It had seating for only 32 people and was run by Giuseppe Lenti, who was later joined by his brother-in-law, Sestino Odari. In 1988 Sestino's wife, Maria, took over the reins. In less than five years, Piazza Romana has the best restaurant for fine Italian cuisine. In fact, The Gazette's Helen Rochester ranked it among the top 20 restaurants. While Piazza Romana is no longer a little country restaurant, the Odoardi family continues to offer the warm ambiance so typical of the traditional Italian manner.

On va bientôt déménager à proximité du Pointe Claire Village & on a voulu tester ce restaurant en premier. En voyant les prix & le style de la salle on s'est dit qu'on allait très bien manger…
Mon mari a commandé des carbonara, j'ai pris des pâtes aux légumes avec sauce au vin blanc puis nous avons partagé une salade César. Le rapport qualité-prix n'est pas bon. Les pâtes carbonara étaient très basiques, mes pâtes avaient peu de goût même si la sauce choisie avait l'air de rajouter de la tenue en bouche, quelques légumes parsemés, puis la salade était au plus simple & peu goûteuse. Un ensemble assez fade qui n'avait pas le goût du reviens-y. Par contre, seulement les mini tranches de pizza qui nous ont été offertes avant de passer commande étaient assez bonnes.
Pour le service, nous avons été servis poliment mais de manière assez brusque. Pas à la hauteur d'un endroit qui à l'air haut de gamme non plus. Les apparences peuvent être trompeuses.
Je ne recommande pas ce restaurant, ou sinon ne vous attendez pas à des plats qui valent les prix sur la carte.
Service staff was not attentive, didnt even offer a drink while we waited for others to arrive. Had to go find the waitress twice in order to get our bills. The bus boy, waitress & hostess were more interested in their conversation rather than the clients in the restaurant

My son in law, & myself organized the
celebration of my daughter's 50th last Saturday. Everything was just perfect. The private room, the atmosphere & mostly the great service we had from the whole staff. The food was fantastic & we all enjoyed our evening. Definitely, this will be the place for our future gatherings.
Lovely Italian restaurant with excellent service. However, I was disappointed with the minestrone soup. Instead of the traditional hearty soup containing vegetables, beans, pasta, unfortunately it was a rather bland tomato broth with some cabbage. I didn't want to complain though, because everything else was wonderful.
Overall, I would definitely recommend Piazza Romana. Just skip the soup.

The vibe of the restaurant is homey & warm. There's nothing like seeing the twinkling lights of pointe claire village from the windows. The pizza & calamari were delicious.
Very disappointed, for $60.00 on a take out order I got two very small portions of spaghetti with nothing extra like garlic bread or butter etc. Certainly my last visit. 👎
Nourriture ordinaire. Si vous voulez du vin rouge, le choix est pitoyable, la plus part sont rayés de la carte il ne reste que des vins cher, le moins cher 65$ & les deux autres à 75$ & 120$.

I had a good & bad experience. The risotto with seafood was good. Slightly over priced & so was the veal scalping. I would rate that a 4. But I came back one evening on a holiday when they were quite busy & the pizza or fish was not good & service was awful too.
