The pho *is* in fact phonomenal! Among the best I've had & I've had many of the best of Seoul & even Hanoi. Pho is great, but their Bun Bo Hue is also exceptional. The wait staff is so friendly & helpful. It is a hidden gem you should NOT miss if you like Vietnamese.
Decent pho, but service could be better. My spring rolls came after the pho. I would prefer to enjoy appetizer first & have refill water in timely manner.
Second time eating here: previously enjoyed their pho & this time we had grilled beef & pork over vermicelli. The food is good, the service was a bit unequal. The young man who first served us did not do much of a follow-up once the food was served. Water glasses remained empty for quite a while, & when we were clearly finished & just waiting, we had to finally signal to the woman server in order to get doggy bags. Watch out for the additional fee if you want to take home any food you don't finish! Although I rarely experience this at other restaurants, here they charge $1.50 per person to take home any leftovers. I don't mind paying a small charge to over the cost of the take-home box, but $1.50 felt excessive. I checked at Costco & the take-home containers cost $.25 a piece. It's a bit cheeky to make a profit off of the doggy bags when already the prices are a bit higher than other Vietnamese restaurants of similar quality in the neighborhood. I'd hesitate before going back since there are so many other options for good Vietnamese food in the neighborhood, & without the additional fees...
personally the worst vegetarian/vegan pho I have ever eaten. I hate to write negative reviews but hopefully it is taken as constructive criticism. There was at least an inch of oil in the broth, way too oily & it tasted fishy to me, not what you want to taste in a vegan soup. it also was cheap on the veggies & very heavy on the noodles. Also, i hope to see more vegan options on the menu in the future.
Great food - had pho with grilled chicken & veggies. The many veggies really added depth. The Viet coffee was super strong. The food came within 5 minutes of ordering. The place is almost underground with windows to give light. Would go again- hits the spot!
We are from out of town & happened upon this place for dinner... it was delicious, service was excellent & fast (what we were looking for) & reasonably priced. Would go there again next time we are in Montreal.
Absolutely delicious food & the man who helped us was warm, professional, & friendly. The serving portions were generous & the price was great. The grilled chicken noodle dish I had was one of the best versions I have ever had! The place itself is spacious, bright, & inviting. The bathroom is fairly small & the entrance required a flight of stairs down.
