Ordered Com Tam (broken rice) & was served regular rice.
Broth for beef pho was a little on the salty side & the broth for the chicken pho was actually beef based & incredebly fatty it was nasty.

I visit Montreal quite often from Toronto & this is my mom's favorite Vietnamese restaurant. I was glad to find that the quality control is there & the quality of the food is comparable to Toronto locations. The pho soup is flavorful & the service is quick.
My only feedback is that I wish my pho tai had actually tai beef (rare). The beef was already mostly cooked by the time the soup arrived to our table. But overall, I still enjoyed my pho!
This is out second experience here at Pho Anh Vu & we definatly recommend this establishment almost at the corners of Atwater & Saint Catherine st.
Atmosphere is a plus, meal experience is fullfiling & very tasty, tonight is Friday & its only 1800 & there lined up at the door 10 deep waitting for a vacancy! Luckily we arrived at 1745 & there was no wait but limited table availability.
We came here in January on a Sunday afternoon & it was 45 minute wait!
I finally tried Pho Anh Vu & honestly, it lives up to the hype. The place itself is really nice, love the space, love the decor.
Service was A1 the whole time, super friendly & on point without being too much. The pho was actually really good, & the portions are huge, so you're definitely not leaving hungry.
It is a bit on the pricier side, which is worth mentioning, but overall the experience was really solid. I had a great time & would definitely go back.
One of the most spacious Vietnamese restaurants in the city...although a chain, it is the only one in Quebec I believe. The portions are larger than average but extremely tasty. Absolutely love the variety of sauces & pickled spicy additions on the table. Just wish they had more of that beef rib pho, often sold out early!

Their pho is amazing & surprisingly their grilled chicken is very juicy. We have been regular customers as of discovering it last year & every grocery visit ends up at Anh Vu to start a broth-fueled week:)
I had the Pho Spécial Aux Côtes De Boeuf / Beef Rib Noodle Soup & it wad sooo goood. I took the large. They have different size, so when you go, pick one that's perfect for you.
Tuesday April 07,2026 I placed an order for item #15 & a large #4 for takeout by phone at 7:51 PM. I arrived at the restaurant to pick it up around 8:10 PM. I paid $38 but didn't receive a receipt. However, when I got home, what I received was a small #4 with spring rolls. What should I do about this order?

After over 15 years of pho being my favorite soup, i've tried many places. This one took my top 1 spot this year. Good job on taste, prices, quantity, quality, & good job to the owners & team. It's now my go to whenever I want pho. The beef rib limited special is amazing & you are always full after eating.
You get that feeling'woah i get all this for that price?'. The last time I felt like that was before covid. Again, great work!
Je suis impressionnée par la qualité. J'ai commandé pour emporter (grillades, pho & rouleaux) & je peux confirmer que c'est très gouteux. Enfin des plats de grillades avec suffisamment de viande! Enfin des bons nems à base de feuille de riz! Je vais commander à nouveau c'est certain, & merci de mettre autant d'amour dans vos plats à emporter que en restaurant, c'est assez rare ça !
Simply put their beef pho is the best bowl of pho I've ever had. Pho over the years has always been pretty consistent for me. Rarely disappointing but at Pho A the depth of flavor was like no other & the noodles were a standout as well. We were told by the server their broth is made over 3 days. My niece had the chicken pho which was a wonderful broth as well & came with a lemon grass dipping sauce for the chicken. I am heartbroken that the pho in my part of the world will never compare to Pho An
Tried the pho dac biet & had a good experience overall. The mango salad was exceptional & definitely the highlight.
However, the pricing feels a bit high compared to other restaurants offering a similar experience. Good food, just slightly overpriced in my opinion.
This is my favourite Pho that I go very often, I never check the bill before, but today, I found that they charged me wrongly lol, I ordered a large Pho, but they charged me extra large. Not much difference but not feel comfortable. However, I like the taste & Dining environment. I may go back again & check the bill each time.
I have ordered Uber many times, but they have never followed my requests properly, even though I clearly noted the things I am allergic to or cannot eat.
There were even ingredients in the dish that I really like, but they were left out. If those ingredients were out of stock, they should have noted it so customers could understand.
I am extremely disappointed with the way Pho Anh Vu Pho operates.
