The best one ever so happy I discovered this place. The broth is fantastic & the chef made me a delicious bowl even I showed at closing time. So nice to see someone taking pride in his cooking. This is my new favorite place 🍜💛
So, I was in a mood: specifically, a mood for Vietnamese food. My taste buds were chanting "pho ga, pho ga!" So off we went in search of that magical chicken soup. They gave us a choice: clear rice noodles or "regular." Staff suggested the clear noodles, saying that's the traditional way they roll in Vietnam, & who am I to argue with noodle wisdom? So, my partner & I went for it, & let me tell you: chef's kiss. Tasty, delicious, & had me wondering if I could buy a lifetime supply. Oh, & there was a dipping sauce for the chicken-delightful little bonus. Plus, free water! Because hydration is important, kids. & get this: the bathroom had Michael Jackson album covers plastered all over. As an MJ fan, I might've done a little moonwalk right then & there. Total damage? About $37 with tip, & for two people? Total bargain 😉
We had a craving for Pho on a chilly fall day in Montreal. This place does not disappoint. The owner personally came up to us & explained that the pho he serves here is true to what a traditional pho in Vietnam would be like. He explained the difference in flavor & serving preparations between what you normally find in western style pho restaurants & what you find in Vietnam. The quality speak for itself, everything was delicious, fresh, & prepared with care. If you are anywhere in central Montreal, this place is worth coming to.
Vegetarian pho! It can be so hard to find a vegetarian pho, & this one is truly a gem. An impeccable balance of salt & umami flavor with diverse textures & perfect freshness melding together in one bowl. It's one of those dishes that leave you feeling not just full, but nourished. The atmosphere is warm, cozy, & inviting; perfect for that important business meeting or very special date. Next time I'm back in Montreal, this place will be on my short list.
Best Pho soup in Montreal! Food is delicious & authentic! The owner is great & really cares about his customers! I highly recommend!
Great authentic Vietnamese restaurant with authentic Pho soup. Best Pho in Montreal! Service was good even though the restaurant was busy. I highly recommend it!
The chicken pho was delicious! Very big portion, the noodles were thick & tasty, & the broth was refreshing. The chicken pieces were a little too fatty for my taste, but cooked perfectly. The lady that served me was very helpful & kind, & the vietnamese coffee was lovely!
Une très belle découverte! Le service est impeccable, le bouillon de la Pho est délicieux. Assurément un des meilleur en ville. Je recommande fortement.
Friendly service. Got the B2. Was very happy they didn't look it bean sprouts in their Pho. Vietnamese coffee with condensed milk was delicious. Nice space.
Forgot to leave a review!!! Got the Veg Pho & traditional Beef wit the egg yolk - man serving (owner) was incredibly kind & explained traditions as well as eating technique to my partner who was not skilled with chop sticks. Love from Nova Scotia
I've had pho my whole life in many many places in Montréal & Toronto & thought I knew what pho was......until I stumbled on this gem. Everything is homemade down to the sauces & is hands down the best pho I've ever had. The broth is rich the meat is never frozen therefore tender & the homemade sauces are exquisite. This place is so good that it ruined all my other favorite places I thought I loved. On top of it all the waitress & the owner are absolute sweethearts & attentive. My wife & I will be back...many times. Thank you!
I went there for the first time today & let me say this: this place is HIDDEN GEM. From the food to the restaurant itself, i loved everything about this restaurant. the person who served us (who i am assuming is the owner) was very passionate & gave us some recommendations. he also told us how everything there is fresh & homemade. the washrooms were also spotless & smelled good. this was overall a great experience & i WILL be coming back for more yummy pho. 10/10 would definitely recommend!
Currently visiting Montreal & stumbled upon this restaurant. It did not disappoint! The bun cha was so authentic, it reminded me of the food in Hanoi! The flavors were perfect & the egg roll was nice & crispy. The pho ga was delicious as well, very clean & simple but you could taste how fresh the ingredients were. There was also a lemon pepper sauce that you could dip the chicken in for more flavor. Would definitely come here again :)
True northern style Pho, I liked everything from the vintage decoration to the beef noodle soup, rare egg in soup & coconut ice creams for desserts. Owner & staff were very friendly too
Wow....very clean, courteous service & exceptional pho. The broth that's perfectly seasoned & full of flavours, not like those salty & full of MSG like many places I have been to. This place is the keeper.
We sought out Pho Anh on a rainy miserable night, & were not disappointed. Service was excellent, the single server running hither & yon to look after everybody. She was cheerful, friendly, professional & so very sweet & kind. Our dinner was fantastic, & the pho took us back to our visits to Vietnam. Pho differs from region to region in Vietnam, so this pho is different than what we have in Vancouver, but it was fantastic! Very flavourful, courtesy of the high quality ingredients & the broth that cooks for three days. The pork & chicken & rice dish was equally excellent. One of the best Vietnamese restaurant experiences we have ever had, & we'd heartily recommend Pho Anh if you are in Montreal.
Hello Boss, please let me know if you are re-opening. Miss the pho here, thank you & all the best.
Pho exceptionnel, trop bon à chaque fois. Du véritable viet, exécuté avec amour & passion
