I haven't even left this spot yet & I completely devoured my bowl of the B1 pho (rare steak). Our friendly waiter gave recommendations about keeping the flavor of the broth the star of the show. He was so right I could drink the broth by itself it's soooo delicious. You can really taste the quality of all the ingredients. I love how authenticity is their goal so you won't find the Thai basil & bean sprouts that tend to hide the flavor of the broth. My boyfriend & I came in disgustingly hungover & I believe this pho healed me. My boyfriend loved it as well. Their house sauces are so flavorful & really do taste well as a dip rather than pouring into the broth. I fully recommend you come here & try!! You will not be disappointed:)
I love pho. If I was stuck on a dessert island & could only bring three meals, authentic pho (with tripe & rare beef) would be one of them. Here, the staff were friendly & kind, seating us even though it was close to their afternoon closing time, as well as very knowledgeable about allergies, specifically what was safe to eat for someone with Celiac disease (the menu is very detailed about this too). & this was the best - the best! - pho I have had in a very, very long time! My partner & I both had the B3, the special pho with rare beef, tendon, pork belly & tripe & it was amazing!! Their broth is cooked for three days & is so fragrant & flavourful, & the meat was tender & delicious. I love savory Northern-style pho & this made all my dreams come true! All their pickles & sauces are made in house & nothing was put on the table that wasn't safe for us to eat. Although not a 100% gluten-free restaurant, I had no qualms about eating here & will make sure to come back (at least twice) every time I visit Montreal.
The best Vietnamese in Montreal! Family owned business, & they're very passionate about both their food quality & authenticity. They're also VERY gluten intolerance friendly. I have celiac & I've never once been glutened. Highly recommend!
This place is really authentic & i really like the food that's why I come back to here when I'm in Montreal. But today we got very disappointing. The food took 40 mins!! The server placed the order to kitchen after 20 mins she took the order. Also only one server cleaning all the tables which seems really bad. They should have more people working at the front. I think also the server is still in training I understand but you should do better overall.
As a Hanoian, this was a pleasant surprise. All of the items we tried were authentic northern vietnamese cuisine. Haven't had gi? c?y in 10 years, & my wife was shocked that we could find it here lol. One of the best pho & best vietnamese restaurants in North America.
p/s: to owner, will you add qu?y (youtiao) to the menu? 👀
My favourite Vietnamese restaurant because it is super authentic, the only place where pho soup doesn't taste like MSG & makes you so thirsty like hell after. I'd recommend their pho & grills. The green papaya salad is ok but a bit small.
But Bun Bo Hue really needs some improve, it tastes plain & nothing like the authentic one (the special fragrance for Bun Bo Hue is missing) but overall it's amazing! The grills were good!
We visited this restaurant with my mom & my aunt, & it was one of the best Vietnamese food experiences we've had in Montreal
We ordered the **Special Nam Dinh Pho**, & it was absolutely delicious. The broth tasted just like authentic Northern Vietnamese pho-rich, comforting, & incredibly flavorful without the overpowering five-spice aroma that is so common in many pho restaurants overseas. It truly reminded us of home.
My aunt, who has lived in Canada for many years, said this was the first time she had eaten a bowl of pho that tasted this authentic. That says a lot.
The restaurant itself is clean, cozy, & has the warm feeling of a family-run place where you can relax & enjoy a great meal.
If we ever visit Montreal again, this restaurant will definitely be one of our first stops. I'll also be recommending it to all of my friends. Thank you for bringing such authentic Northern Vietnamese flavors to Canada!
The pho was amazing , the owner was really nice , he makes all the sauces in the restaurant & it's very authentic pho , i got pork belly appetizer , two large pho soups , a Vietnamese coffee & a mango smoothie for 60$ my girlfriend & I left with a full stomach
I definitely recommend this place for everyone.
The food was superb! Coming from a Northen Vietnamese, 10/10 for how tasty & authentic everything tasted, especially the pho with fresh rice noodles. It took a bit long to wait for the food to come, but it was well worth it. For anyone ordering a pho, I would recommend pairing it with a poached egg. Definitely will visit this restaurant again the next time we come back to Montreal.
