Review Summary

Reviewers describe Patisserie Rhubarbe as true sweet poetry with precise technique and a love of detail, praising inventive creations from the jasmine lychee lime coconut tart to chocolate, raspberry and yogurt, and a standout mille-feuille, all noted for balance and lightness. The pastry shop is repeatedly hailed for quality and finesse, with many calling the mille-feuille the best in town and a superb discovery, while others highlight an elegant lemon tart and bold chocolate-fruit-yogurt combinations. A varied menu includes savory options and even a small book of recipes, and packaging is frequently praised for beauty. Seating is limited or unavailable indoors in some reviews, though a small bench inside and a summer terrace offer options, and prices run higher in line with perceived quality. Some feedback mentions changes over time with a perceived dip in offer and ambience, but the overall impression is of original, top tier pastries that are highly recommended, with seasonal savory Danish and acclaimed Swiss-inspired signatures cited by fans.

Delicious light sweetness, the tart was so tasty & u can feel the taste of each different layer separately & was sooo fresh & high quality ingredients. The mille feuille also light & we liked the flavour of the coffee. Didn't like the place, no even small table to set , we ate it while we were standing & that's a disadvantage because the prices are not normal & little bit overpriced due to the portion. ( for that reasons the 4 stars) The coffee was also good.

You have to get here early as everything will be gone by 2 pm. That's how good this top Montréal pastry shop is. They also feature high quality prepared foods.

I cannot speak about the patisserie items as I haven't tried any yet. I have visited for breakfast/brunch & all the boulangerie items I've tried have been great, pricey but great quality. In my opinion, one of the best chocolatines in Montreal. The croissants & cheese croissants are very good too. Also, they offer a sandwich with cold cuts & cheese on what seems to be a focaccia bread - It is really good! I wish they had more sandwiches options. Staff is very hit or miss... mostly on the unfriendly side. However, there is female staff member who is really nice & will help answering questions or making recommendations. There is a small patio in front. The interior is nice but there is no seating area. Parking is very difficult to find.
