I visited Mahrouse this morning & was pleasantly surprised by their impressive management system. Despite the holiday rush & how busy it was, the team handled everything with remarkable professionalism & efficiency. Their commitment to customer service truly stood out. Much respect to the entire team for their hard work & dedication.

Mahrouseh is truly a gem. From the moment you step inside, you are transported to another time & place. The oriental décor is absolutely mind-blowing-filled with beautiful antique pieces that instantly remind you of an old Damascene house, complete with a charming fountain in the middle. The atmosphere alone is worth the visit.
As for the desserts, the selection is outstanding. They offer a wide variety of traditional Arabic/Eastern desserts as well as Western options, all prepared with exceptional quality & care. The taste is simply amazing. I ordered Halawet El Jibn, a very traditional Syrian dessert made from semolina, cheese, blossom water, & syrup topped with crushed pistachios-& it was perfection. They also serve Kunafeh & many, many other delicious desserts that are hard to resist.
The staff are incredibly friendly & welcoming, which adds even more to the experience. I even asked why they don't open a new branch in BC, & the answer truly impressed me. They explained that maintaining the highest quality is their top priority, & they refuse to compromise by sending their chefs elsewhere-even though they receive requests to open branches in many major cities across the USA & Canada.
That level of dedication says everything. I'm very pleased to have visited Mahrouseh, & it's a place I would happily return to again & again. Highly recommended!

I like this place because from the moment I walked in, I am greeted with the warmest welcome. The atmosphere is cozy & inviting & all staff there are friendly - perfect for relaxing with a cup of coffee & a treat.
A special mention goes to Duaa, who made the visit even more enjoyable. Her kindness, genuine smile, & attentive service really stood out. She made me feel right at home.
Highly recommend stopping by if you're looking for a comforting spot with exceptional service. I'll definitely be coming back soon
I had the best experience at Mahrouse Downtown thanks to Ayla! She was absolutely amazing so welcoming, professional, & attentive. She really went above & beyond to make sure everything was perfect. You can tell she genuinely cares about her clients & it makes all the difference. Highly recommend asking for Ayla if you want the best service!

I recently visited this charming patisserie known for its authentic Syrian flavors, & it did not disappoint! The variety of desserts was impressive, each bursting with rich, traditional taste. Their coffee was a standout-unique, aromatic, & absolutely delightful. A must-visit for anyone looking to experience the perfect blend of Syrian desserts & exceptional coffee. Highly recommended!

Je viens d'avoir la meilleure expérience client avec la fantastique Paula. Uber avait par 2 fois aujourd'hui négligé de livrer ma commande. J'ai contacté le magasin & à chaque fois Paula allait au delà de ce qui est attendu pour essayer de m'aider. Elle a recommandé une solution finalement qui ne dépend pas de Uber. Merci Paula. Vous êtes superbe. Mahrouse vous avez un diamant.
The closest to home. I pick up boxes of Syrian desserts for myself & as gifts every time I visit Montreal. They keep the ingredients & quality fresh & on point. So far I highly recommend this place for authentic desserts.
