The food itself was fresh & good quality overall, but unfortunately the overall dining experience was disappointing.
The tables for two are placed extremely close together, making it very easy to hear conversations from neighboring tables, which takes away from the comfort & privacy of the experience.
While the waiters were polite & friendly, the main person taking our order came across as pushy rather than attentive. He never checked whether we were enjoying our meal & seemed mainly focused on encouraging us to order more items. At the end of the meal, when he asked whether we wanted dessert & we politely declined, his response,'You don't want dessert?' felt unprofessional & uncomfortable.
Also, the online menu does not accurately reflect the current restaurant menu. Several items have changed, & the actual prices were noticeably higher than what is shown online.
If money is no object, it is the place to try. Every item on the menu has a special taste, the freshness of the fish is uncomparable.
Park is a great neighborhood spot we keep coming back to whenever we're craving sushi. The service is consistently excellent, they really go above & beyond for the customers, & the nigiri is always fresh & well prepared. The lunch sets are also a solid option. We love coming here.
Went for a light lunch; bibimbap.
The flavour was good & the choices of ingredients was nice. But although the bibimbap comes in a hot stone bowl, it was too saucy to create the fried rice bottom one might expect from the experience. This was different but not necessarily unpleasant.
My low rating comes from the beef (which was a 19$ extra charge per plate). It was nearly inedible by being impossible to chew, & made the sit-down meal a bit embarrassing because I couldn't maintain a conversation for minutes at a time.
The waiters also came by to ask if I was done with the plate much too often even though I was clearly not even half done (from the time it took to chew the beef).
We also tried the Park sushi. This was fresh & tasty.
However, the beef of the bibimbap was such an insult to me in terms of chewiness that I cannot recommend this place to anyone who actually wants to enjoy their meal & not just brag about it on Instagram.
I'm quite let down by what was supposed to be one of the better restaurants around.

Your fish can be fresher, colder & firmer. The blackened sea urchin was unacceptable to bring on to the table.
The bill came to over $600 for two. I refuse to imagine what that can do in Tokyo, or Vancouver, or even New York. & pathetically there's not much better sushi choice in town.
We were very disappointed with our experience. Despite having reserved a table in the dining area, we were seated at the counter upon arrival. It was Valentine's Day & we were hoping for a more elevated, romantic sushi experience.
When we explained this to our server, they suggested we try the omakase (menu dégustation) rather than the chef's selection, which we had originally been drawn to. Since it was our first time, the server subtly convinced us that the omakase would be the better experience, saying that it would allow us to try a wide variety of things. Naturally, we assumed that meant a generous variety of sushi. We trusted their recommendation & went with it.
What we didn't realize until the bill arrived was that the omakase was significantly more expensive than the chef's selection. & nowhere during that conversation were we clearly informed of the price difference. We felt misled.
Once the dishes started arriving, it was anything but sushi. I understand that some people appreciate a more elaborate & experimental tasting menu, but we came specifically for sushi & instead received five plates of various fish, beef, & sauces, followed by just 8 pieces of nigiri at the very end. Deeply disappointing.
The bill came to $487 before tip, far more than we anticipated. We were never given a clear heads-up about the final cost, which left us feeling blindsided. Oh & the omakase price wasn't on the menu card..
Excellent sushi, toujours frais & bien présentés. Service rapide, ambiance agréable - une valeur sûre pour les amateurs de sushi. Merci à Antonio & son équipe de feu 🔥 🍣
Exquisite tasting menu in a beautiful space with an excellent sake, wine, & cocktail menu. Our server was extremely knowledgeable about all of the sake on their menu & was able to recommend one that matched perfectly with our palette. Each dish was beautifully prepared & thoughtfully paired with interesting ingredients. All of the fish was incredibly fresh & the service was impeccable.
Best sushi place in Montreal!! Quality was amazing & if you take the discovery plate for two you have more than enough! It comes with a miso soup (amazing) & steamed edamame beans (delicious). Waiters were amazing at guiding us in our choice of meal & drinks.
The food is okay. The beef rib is very tender but it has this bloody taste. Maybe the beef is not clear well. The sashimi is not consistent, some were fishy tasting & some were good. The maki are not special. The dessert is good but need changes to make it better.
The service is okay , the staffs are nice but they need to work better as a team since mid order he left us to serve another table.
Mediocre at best with both service & food. Not worth the wait for weeks for a reservation. If you offer a protein on the menu & order it medium rare it should NOT be presented medium. We never saw or heard back from sever to see how we were enjoying meal until the end of the meal. Then offering a free dessert (which we declined) for the poor meal with no real apology shows little respect for their guests.
This is what they call uni from New Brunswick? I ordered for delivery & this is what I get… so disappointed… A friend referred me to this restaurant'best sushi in montreal' More like bad sushi in montreal…What a shame.
Had an amazing diner with my daughter yesterday. Was seated at the sushi bar & had the chance to chat with Antonio. Best quality fish in Montreal if you ask me. Bluefin Toro omg 😋
Thank you Antonio for the extra touch, truly appreciated
