I have visited here with friends during the trip to the west. When we temporarily seat in Montreal, my friend introduced those very authentic Southern China Style cruises to me.
It is remarkable how thick & smooth the broth tastes, with full loaded fresh ingredients topping you want to order one more for pick up.
It is so satisfying to dine in, even when we left & enjoy the pick up on the way to West, the crispy BBQ Pork sliced still reminds crispy & delicious!
Should have a try if no rush.
The crispy pork is the highlight of the Guilin Rice Noodles here! I often get it to-go after work, but it tastes best when eaten fresh at the shop. It's truly amazing: crispy exterior, tender interior, & very flavorful. The owners are lovely & very welcoming! Recommended!
I love the Guilin rice noodles at this place the most. The crispy pork, pork intestine, & beef are all delicious! I've eaten here countless times. As someone from Guilin, it feels amazing to taste the flavors of home!
Really great restaurant! Staff was friendly & helped me figure out what I wanted to eat haha. I had the pork & noodles & it was delicious! Just spicy enough & super flavourful. A lot of food for a great price.
If you visit Montreal, don't forget to come here for a bowl of the distinctive'Guilin Rice Noodles'. The soup base, carefully prepared by the owner, is rich & delicious. The'Crispy Pork' &'Pan-Fried Beef' are simply amazing. A highly recommended great place! The boss is warm & sincere, giving you a feeling of being at home. very 😋🥰🥰
A family-owned resto~ Food is good, the snail soup is very salty tho couldnt finish it, however the flavour is there. The spicy stir fry noodles were very tasty, as well as the crispy pork feet! Friendly service, lots of smiles, there is only one main cook so expect the wait to be a bit long ~
Tried the Chinese burger-it was fatty & bland, so I had to doctor it up with sambal & vinegar just to give it some oomph. The twice-cooked pork noodles showed some promise, but the chili crisp tasted burnt & the garlic leaned bitter. I found myself enjoying bites here & there, & honestly, I can tell the food usually hits the mark-but I must've come on an off day. Uncharacteristically, I ended up leaving food behind-the pork was too fatty & the noodles too oily.
The space itself is nicely decorated & spacious, with polite & efficient service. That said, there was a faint ammonia-like smell in the air-likely from cleaning products, but it unfortunately gave off the impression that someone had an accident.
Between the off day in the kitchen & the unsettling scent, I'll call it a 3/5. Hopefully just a fluke.
AMAZING quality noodle dishes. I had the twice cooked pork noodles extra spicy. The place looks nice & the owner is super sweet!
Went here for the first time since they moved downtown. The food is just as great. Had my favourite Chinese sausage as an appetiser & twice cooked pork & spicy beef for mains. They were all delicious :)
This place is a GEM! We loved it when it was a tiny hole in the wall on Monk, where the sweet husband & wife duo served huge portions of steaming fresh noodles one bowl at a time...& having followed it downtown after its move, we can vouch that the quality of the service & the taste of the food are still as exeptional as before. The service is now much faster with the addition of 2 more chefs in the kitchen, & we can now order through our phones using a QR code. Price wise, it's still insanely reasonable. Order the snail noodles with a side of crispy pork(the best extra 6$ that you can possibly spend) or spicy hand pulled beef noodles. We'll definitely be back again! :)
