Food - some of the best handmade noodles I have eaten. The snail soup (no snails), was amazing. The broth had flavor & I added some spicy chutney they had, it elevated the flavor! The Chinese bun was as expected. The flat bread was awesome. I don't understand the 4 star reviews for this restaurant. The noodle is a must try!!
Service - family owned. The lady who serves is full of smiles & so kind. Very pleasant.
Place - very clean!!! You can see the chef cook. The lady leans the tables with disinfectant. Clean washrooms.
I don't understand how this
Everything about this restaurant makes it without a doubt a must try spot for a delicious bowl of soup made with or without handmade noodles!!
It's delicious, full flavored , great noodle texture & generous portion.
One of my new favorite places when I'm in the area!
Thank you for such a delicious handmade noodle soup. Loved it.
I love PangJi noodles so much. This place is a hidden gem in downtown Montreal & I think everyone should try it. Their handmade noodles are hands down the best noodles I've eaten in my life. Their broths are also out of this world! Their restaurant is super aesthetic & clean & last but not the least we always have amazing & friendly service from the lady that works there. 5/5
Wonderful find! Greats soups with handmade noodles. Check it out *before* it goes viral.
The food was very good, we both enjoyed our dishes & the handmade noodles had great texture.
My only critiques would be, they could be a little more generous with the proteins/meats & to maybe clean to table soya bottles & hot sauces.
The hostess/waitress was funny & charming.
the minute i walked in i was greeted by one of the nicest lady ive ever met!! the interior deco is beautiful & i was delighted by how good the food was. unfortunately i cant remember the name of it, but i ordered a spicy handmade noodle soup. every element in the dish was superb especially the noodles & peanuts!! i will definitely come back ◡̈
I am a regular to this restaurant since the restaurant located near Monk station. Their food is always hearty, filling, & delicious. Their handmade noodles are chewy in such a nice way. I go for soupy noodles in winter, & soupless noodles in summer. Certainly reasonably priced, & generous with quantity. The owner is such a sweet person - She even remembers my & my husband's to-go dish even when we come back in a while. I am sad that they moved far away from my place to downtown, but will keep coming. I wish more people know about this place & keep it running.
Delicious unique bamboo broth handmade noodle soup hosted by the warm lady by the name of Pang Ji. Will definitely come back for more.
We've been here a few times, & the staff is always super friendly. We love the handmade noodles, especially the River Snails noodle (it's just the name, there is no snails or meat in this, so I consider it as vegetarian bowl of noodle) & the sour cabbage with beef homemade noodle. The stir-fried noodles are really good too. You can pay by card here.
So happy I stepped in out of the rain today! I was so delighted by the flavours & aromas of the delicious noodle dishes. I had the Laoyo handmade noodles & they were perfect. Super kind staff / owner & very good prices too! I'll definitely be back.
Tasty soup, delicious handmade noodles, clean & easygoing ambiance, & best of all, very friendly, helpful, smiley service from a very sweet lady. Thank you!!
Decent family owned Southern Chinese restaurant in dt Montreal! My impression of it when it was still at Monk was that its Guilin noodles came out quite plain, but this time when I tried the handmade noodles, the noodles' texture were perfect & they were very savoury! They got my order wrong, made stir fry noodles instead of soupy Laoyou noodles, but they are willing to redo it or provide a discount for it, & it actually tastes awesome! My bf's spicy beef noodles came out more numb than expected, but the dish on the Chinese menu is numb spicy beef noodles so it makes sense. So just be aware that there could be translation inaccuracies (e.g. mealworm just means the shape of it is shorter pieces of noodles lol), & the food are spicy in an authentic way, but the quality is trustworthy.
If you want spicy noodles, this is the place to be : most of the dishes tried were spicy. However, we found a hair in my friend's noodle dish, so I have to take off points for that. The noodles are handmade, but cut really thick. Also taking some points off for the ordering system : there is no waiter taking the orders, you have to use a qr code (which didn't work on my phone) & place your order. Overall, food was meh, experience to be improved. If you do check this place out, order the G1, the less bad out of the 4 dishes.
A welcome addition to the neighborhood. Fresh handmade noodles are a treat. I found my dish a bit too salty but pleasantly spicy & generous, & will be back to explore the menu. The lady working the front was comically overworked, handling orders cash cleanup seating etc for a full house unaided, but she somehow maintained a cheerful & engaging energy level.
