I have visited here with friends during the trip to the west. When we temporarily seat in Montreal, my friend introduced those very authentic Southern China Style cruises to me.
It is remarkable how thick & smooth the broth tastes, with full loaded fresh ingredients topping you want to order one more for pick up.
It is so satisfying to dine in, even when we left & enjoy the pick up on the way to West, the crispy BBQ Pork sliced still reminds crispy & delicious!
Should have a try if no rush.
Food - some of the best handmade noodles I have eaten. The snail soup (no snails), was amazing. The broth had flavor & I added some spicy chutney they had, it elevated the flavor! The Chinese bun was as expected. The flat bread was awesome. I don't understand the 4 star reviews for this restaurant. The noodle is a must try!!
Service - family owned. The lady who serves is full of smiles & so kind. Very pleasant.
Place - very clean!!! You can see the chef cook. The lady leans the tables with disinfectant. Clean washrooms.
I don't understand how this
I love PangJi noodles so much. This place is a hidden gem in downtown Montreal & I think everyone should try it. Their handmade noodles are hands down the best noodles I've eaten in my life. Their broths are also out of this world! Their restaurant is super aesthetic & clean & last but not the least we always have amazing & friendly service from the lady that works there. 5/5
Tried Pangji Guilin Nouilles for a weekday lunch. They specialize in Guangxi food. The waitress was sweet & friendly. Make sure to try their hot sauce concoction. They ask for spice level; went with medium (which was closer to mild).
- River snails homemade noodle ($17.99) - plenty of bean curd. Homemade wavy noodles were plain but decent bite. Broth was homey
- Guilin rice noodle - beef ($15.99) - comes with the usual side soup. Beef slices were good but incredibly thin
I decided to try a different type of noodle rather than the original Yunnan style beef noodle. Broth was thick & slightly spicy. Portion was decent.
Delicious unique bamboo broth handmade noodle soup hosted by the warm lady by the name of Pang Ji. Will definitely come back for more.
The absolute best noodles. Hidden gem. The broth is so flavorful, the homemade noodles & the spicyness (ask on demand) is so well balanced. The staff is very helpful & the new place is lovely, biggest 5 stars!!
Good quality Chinese noodles. The sesame/peanut noodles were our least favorite (too one-note) but the regular Guilin noodles served with the side of drinkable broth were very good & very authentic. They just opened & the service is excellent too.
The Luoshi rice noodles were exceptionally savory, with a broth that perfectly complemented the silky noodles. Fresh herbs & succulent meat toppings added a refreshing twist to this traditional dish, making it a must-try for any food enthusiast.
Sorry but I'm not a huge fan. I got the Laoyou mian & the broth seems cheap i.e. they just used black bean sauce but there's no bone broth. Toppings are expensive - it comes with 1 meat but if you want veggies it's extra & it's literally the cheapest napa cabbage. However, I will say that the atmosphere is nice, the waiters are friendly & the noodles themselves are good. I would come by to try the dry noodle but would not get Laoyou mian again.
