We were in Montreal for business. We booked lunch for 12 people for Dec 10, 2025 (& confirmed the reservation the day before). However, when we showed up with our business guests, to our horror, Pangea was closed. Bear in mind that this at 12 noon during a snowstorm. What an embarrassing experience to witness our guests watch us desperately try to salvage the situation.
We ended up crossing the street & heading to Vieux-Port Steakhouse instead where we had excellent experience.
If you are going to accept restaurant reservations online booked weeks in advance, & then subsequently ask & confirm them in writing the day prior, then the least you could do is actually be open on the day of the booking. Since then I have not heard a peep from the restaurant. No callback. No apology. Nothing. If the restaurant is closed for the season then maybe take 5 minutes to update that online...
The worst service & food in all of montreal. We initially did not have a reservation, walked up to the host & asked for a table of two, mind you, the restaurant is basically empty right now apart from a DJ who was setting up. The host said that they had no tables & that everything was booked out, I used the Open Table app right in front of her & booked a reservation for 2 for the time that we were standing there. She was absolutely stunned, I am pretty sure she was just being racist & did not want to seat us because we are Asian. Even though I booked a reservation right in front of her, PLENTLY of slots on Open Table btw. She still said that she can only seat us near the bar because everything is reserved, me at this point having a reservation for a nicer table got denied. I have no idea why we decided to go in, everything was already a red flag. We ordered some food that was severely lacking in any flavour & the risotto was super undercooked, not al dente, just undercooked it was like eating grains of rice without even cooking them. I wish I could give this place zero stars because I would. Stay away from here & save your money for something better, there are much better places in montreal.
la nourriture étaient incroyable, LE SERVICE étaient incroyable, la musique étaient incroyable, & une grosse dédicace à Stéphane, super personnalité & il a réussi à nous rendre confortable jusqu'au dernier détails (on t'aime stéphane🙏)

INCROYABLE SERVICE alors la TROO bonne expérience j'ai vraiment apprécié. Pour le coût nous avons été servit par Stephan il été super il est devant moi en plus vraiment il est super jlai TROO aimer. Il est hilarant. POUR LE POULET EH LES NOIR MANGER C TROP BON YA PAS DE SANG C INCROYABLE 🤏🏾🙏🏾🤧😭😍🤭

incroyable! le serveur stéphane a vraiment fait ma soirée d'anniversaire, je pourrais pas demander pour un meilleur service, j'ai passée une superbe fête & je reviendrai 100%, la nourriture incroyable & la musique était vraiment un vibe. J'ai adoré, meilleur resto à mtl🎂🎂✨

Très bel endroit , parfait pour faire une activité de groupe mais prix absolument exagérés ! Payer 22$ pour un simple verre de vin ordinaire c'est abuser des clients

Super Cool souper & belle ambiance! Stephan sait tres bien t'accueillir & te rendre à l'aise. Si c'etait pour lui on serait resté plus longtemps. On reviendra pour feter avec lui!

Had a great night at Pangea. We came in for dinner & didn't expect the evening to turn into a full Latin night, but it honestly made the experience even better. The music & vibe picked up in the best way, & the staff kept everything smooth & welcoming. Good food, good drinks, & a really fun atmosphere. Will definitely be back.
