I've been to Palma before for drinks & music, & the vibe is always great. Unfortunately, our birthday dinner experience was extremely disappointing.
We (group of 3) had an 8:30 p.m. reservation & arrived on time, but our main course didn't arrive until 10:30 p.m. a full two-hour wait. We received one appetizer early on, but the delay was so long that we had to order another just to get through the wait. By the time our tomahawk platter arrived, I had lost my appetite entirely. Eating a full meal that late wasn't enjoyable & completely took away from what should have been a special evening. What should have been a joyful celebration turned into an exercise in patience, trying to stay in good spirits while waiting endlessly.
Our waitress was apologetic & explained that the system had overbooked tables, yet there were empty tables throughout the night, which made the explanation hard to believe. The food itself was okay but underwhelming for the price entrées were better than the mains.
The bill came to $800+, & we still left with half the food packed to go. As compensation, the only thing offered was removing a $15 cake-cutting fee, which felt almost insulting given the circumstances. For a restaurant at this price point, waiting two hours for food is unacceptable. Great vibe for drinks but book dinner at your own risk. Go drink & dance, for food eat somewhere else.
Our experience was underwhelming at best. I got the lobster but would not recommend it. It is a lobster tempura so it is deep fried, & it was basically a mouthful of grease with little to no taste, litterally feeling the oil drip in your mouth when you bite into it. Might as well drink oil at this point, I could not finish it.
While the presentation has a lot of panache, the taste & quantity were not there & I found the price ($69 plus tax) really steep for about 8 oily bites as nothing else is edible on the plate. You would need to order sides as the lobster does not come with anything else. I mentionned not liking the lobster to our waitress but that fell on deaf ears as she could not care less.
My friends got some of their signature rolls which were good enough, the portions at least are satisfying. The alcohol free cocktails are practically the price of a coktail dowtown Montreal ($18). Beware of the automatic 18% gratuity that our waitress told us to add to if we wanted.
This is our second time there & we won't be back.

The food was good. The only issue we had was with our waitress. Young, blonde hair, blue eyes. Very friendly until we realized she served us alcohol in our drinks. I took a sip & realized it was vodka, immediately felt the burn. Then when I told her she served us alcohol she blatantly denied it & laughing said'I would NOT serve you alcohol.' Then my fiend took a sip of her drink & instantly made a face, she said'miss, this is alcohol.' The waitress kept denying it, made it awkward & then never charged us for the drinks. Strange. Not a huge deal but im a recovering alcoholic, so there's that. Other than that, it was a great restraunt .
Best restaurant I went to until now. Absolutely stunning interior, great ambiance music, really nice staff & very good food & drinks. I came here to celebrate my birthday & it was the best decision ever. I would definitely come here again !! thank you PALMA for this amazing experience 🤍🩵
Had an okay experience. Was really looking forward to it, but didn't fully meet expectations. Beautiful place, amazing atmosphere, but food, pricing, & service aren't as great. The food was pretty good, but nothing special, especially for the prices, my biggest complaint is not being told a bottle of water is $9…flat water…they don't even charge that in Europe, it's actually not legal most places in Canada. Sure 4-5 I guess but 9 & not being told that was ridiculous. The service was also mediocre. Watched our service chat with her friends while waiting on her to order, get boxes, order another drink, & the bill…Not the most for friendly, didn't do service checks, & at the end asked for what tip percentage. What? Been to hundreds of restaurants & never had them put in the tip percentage. Was so uncomfortable, especially given her service was so so. Was nice to try, but not set on coming back

Correct, sans plus. Service très très long, simplement pour le menu fixe du dimanche. Du mal à expliquer le délai. Relativement cher pour la cuisine offerte, il y a mieux dans le coin pour le prix. Bonne ambiance, j'y retournerais pour des drinks en fin de soirée, pas pour le souper.
It was my second time at Palma*. I really love the place is beautiful, the vibe is so nice, I love the music. We came for drinks & had the Short ribs Udon which was so tasty & compared to what I thought seeing the plate the portion was okay once eaten, wouldn't mind some more noodles tho haha.
I asked for an espresso martini but with a Irish cream like liqueur & it was perfect !

The food was forgettable, but the service & ambience are really the reason to come here. Our servers were so attentive & fun. We came for our friends birthday & it's a great place to celebrate! It can get pretty loud once 11pm comes & the crowd is more a club vibe. The servers gave us complimentary shots which was very sweet. This is a typically hype restaurant/bar to celebrate & drink if you are looking for a more club-like ambience. Enjoy 😉
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Palma in Griffintown, & I must say it was an exceptional experience! From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was inviting & stylish. The staff provided top-notch service throughout the evening. Very attentive, knowledgeable, & made excellent recommendations. Now, let's talk about the food. The steak was cooked to perfection, tender & full of flavor. It was definitely the highlight of my meal. & let's not forget about the drinks! It was expertly crafted & perfectly balanced, just the way I like it. Overall, Palma exceeded my expectations in every aspect. The combination of amazing food, attentive service, & stylish ambiance made for a truly memorable dining experience. I highly recommend PALMA to anyone looking for a top-notch restaurant in Montreal. You won't be disappointed! Look at the design, how dope.
Great service & vibe. Appetizers are also quite good. However, that's where the positive ends. The porterhouse was of such low quality. The meat was grey. Some of the worst meat quality I've seen in a high end restaurant. On top of that, it was very under seasoned & drenched in oil. The sides also lacked any seasoning & we're full of oil The dessert was also another big letdown. The vanilla ice cream tasted like cheap Quebon (maybe even no name) frozen dessert. This was definitely not real ice cream. Honorable mention goes to the cash only valet. Nobody carries cash in 2024. Not worth the price for food. Good place for drinks & a fun vibe though
I had the pleasure of attending the "Lighter" event at Palma, & it was an experience I won't soon forget. Not only was I treated to an exquisite culinary journey, but I also had the opportunity to contribute to a cause close to my heart. Palma hosted the event with grace & style, aligning perfectly with the theme of supporting mental health awareness. Now, let's talk about the food & drink. Every dish was a masterpiece & bursting with flavor. The Spicy Virgin Margarita was a fiery mixture that was a perfect blend of zesty lime, & just the right amount of heat. The Grilled Shishito Peppers transported me back to Bali with their delightful sauce, while the Burrata Salad showcased the finest Italian cheese I've ever tasted outside of Italy itself. The Jardins de Fleurs was a delightful twist on spring rolls, with the addition of sweet Japanese tofu adding a perfect balance to the ensemble of flavors. The Double Truffle dish was an opulent masterpiece, showcasing the finest, freshly made tagliatelle enveloped in a luxurious truffle cream sauce. & dessert? Oh, where do I begin? The Smash Me dessert was a true party for the taste buds, & the Banana Mille Feuille was a delightful departure from tradition, combining banana, caramelized pecans, & velvety gelato. The service was exceptional, with attentive staff ensuring that every detail was perfect. The ambience was electric, filled with a mix of incredible people coming together for a great cause. & the music by local DJ YO-C set the perfect mood for the evening. Overall, my experience at Palma was nothing short of extraordinary. From the delicious food to the meaningful cause behind the event, it was a five-star experience through & through. I can't recommend Palma highly enough, & I'll certainly be back for more unforgettable evenings in the future. Bravo to the entire team for an exceptional evening!

I organized my sisters bachelorette at Palma & it didn't disappoint! We had the best waitress Melina, she was soo great & helped make the party more fun! The food was so good & drinks were yummy!
Great fun restaurant with amazing menu! Also had wonderful services with Laurence - she gave the best recommendations for food & drinks - it hit the spot!
We had such a great experience with Cynthia & Laurence on the floor, she gave amazing service & everything that we ordered was excellent! The lavender drink was the best cocktail ever!
I always appreciate the amount of effort that has put into this place to make it such an amazing place. Phenomenon work, great drinks & great food, great sense of colors & style. The vibe shift from early hours to late has been engineered with perfection. Best place to be after a week of work for me. Last night I was served by Andrew, Angelica & Deva. Great experience as usual!
