Afficher toutsando(104) cafe(102) matcha(84) sandwich(67) latte(67) drink(62) music(62) curry(61) coffee(61) vibe(60) recommend(51) tamago(42)Cool decor & music. The matcha with chocolate is delicious & makes you want to come back for more. The salmon sandwich is another delight. Once I came with my laptop to work but the place is too loud & there is much food smell like eggs & garlic so it's not really a place for that.
Un des mes cafés préfère à mtl. Really love the egg sandwich with or without salmon. I really recommend their chaï not a fan of matcha but looks like I should be.. 😂
Belle ambiance, surtout en ce vendredi après-midi avec un DJ présent. On craque pour les sandwiches, un vrai délice!!
We loved it! Simple & unique sandwiches, the matcha & the flat White are worth it!!
We had heard about @osmo_x_marusan for years-whispered recommendations, glowing hype, forced influncer stories. A reputation that promises revelation. So when we finally went, our first thought was genuinely:'Did we even go to the right place?'
It quickly became clear that this is a café people come to experience, not necessarily to eat. The hipster-industrial aesthetic is immaculate, concrete, like you're going to a café in that club scene from'The Matrix.' It feels engineered more for Instagram stories & long study sessions than for anyone in pursuit of a truly satisfying meal. The space seems tailored to university students with laptops & deadlines, not diners with expectations.
The food, unfortunately, didn't rise to the myth. The tamago sando came with a strange, béchamel-adjacent sauce that felt both unnecessary & confusing. The karaage leaned heavily into grease without the payoff of crispness or depth, & the bread-for both sandwiches-was simply wrong, missing that soft, pillowy integrity you hope for. The yuzu lemonade? Perfectly fine-but unmistakably just lemonade, not even sure why they use the word'Yuzu.' Not even a faint taste of it.
Ironically, the most enjoyable part of the visit was the Osmo fog-visually delightful, theatrically effective, & perhaps the clearest expression of what this place does best.
We left full, yes, but not satisfied. At all.
@osmo_x_marusan is a café where the vibe works overtime, while the food quietly clocks out early. A place worth seeing once-but hard to crave again, once the fog clears.
Was super excited about the egg sandwich but got disappointed bc the kitchen only starts at 11am while the coffee itself opens at 10am. My flat white vanilla was very good & the hojicha is good for who likes matcha!
Coffee was good, but the sandwiches are mid & the matcha is pre-made in batch in the morning...
I have been to this place with my boyfriend, we had the famous egg sandwich, tea & coffee! Everything was delicious, the ambiance is soo fun! I came back last week for the Christmas market & again, the vibes are immaculate 💓
It's a nice small cosy café in my Neighbourhood, which I have never seen before I discovered it because it's kind of like a hidden Café. I've tried their much with lavender, which was tasting good. Also, they had nice sandwiches. I haven't tried yet, but they looked very good. Maybe next time I will try that too.
They had the best karaage that I've ever had in North America so far. It is so juicy, tender & well-seasoned, always comes in fresh. They not just put the starch outside, but also keep the chicken skin & fried them well, which is really nice!
I would also recommend their matcha latte & h?jicha latte. They taste great as well!
The only downside for their meals is it comes with a small portion, only 2-3 pieces of chicken is a bit not enough. & the curry itself tastes a bit normal. I also ordered the karaage sandwich version but their bread is a bit dry. But at the end, definitely a big fan of the karaage flavor.
Cute little hidden next an old building & its underground. They have good music sometimes a bit loud but someone went to adjust the sound. Food was delicious. I really recommend the Tamago Sando egg sandwich. The sauce inside with the eggs were a great combination. Keep napkins near, it's a bit messy.
Ordered boiled egg sandwich, & had a matcha latte for the first time here. The sandwich was excellent, not over seasoned or soggy-nice & simple. The matcha was rich but not too heavy. The barista was very concentrated & careful while making it. The space was thoughtfully designed & clean without feeling sterile. Great experience overall.
Really packed coffee place. But their coffee is really good. I took the tamago sandwich which was supposedly their best seller. It was ok. The portion was good, I felt full after, but the flavour was a bit missing. Maybe I just got high expectations from it. Still really good tho! I think their curry are more worth it.
I enjoy the food a lot , I think I came 3-4 times now & every time it is ALWAYS long. Like there was never a time I did not wait a minimum of 25minutes & this is at ANY HOUR whether it's busy OR not. I think the staff should inform the clients that their order will take a long time. If You're looking for a quick fix/grab& go... forget it.BUT if you want a yummy quick flavouful sandwich definitely come :) service wise ... meh ... not impressed .
The food was great, but the service was horrible I had to wait close to 1hr for a sandwich
This place could be better managed. I went there twice but both time the sandwiches are sold out. The second time I went around 1pm… it was not very late for a Saturday. But otherwise very cute place & nice drinks
Awesome little joint, don't be fooled by the exterior. Great sandwiches & to my surprise the Katsu Curry was great too.
As it moonlights as a club it's atmosphere is loud even during day service. There is a decibel monitor in the cafe & it was at 82 when we were there. We didn't wait for a line at 11:30am but the line quickly grew as we waited for our food so be ready to wait as it's a popular spot.
We heard about this place researching for our trip to Montreal & it was great for us.
I tried a Yuzu tea & a Karaage sandwich.
The yuzu tea was made with Sencha, which is a type of green tea. I didn't expect it to be green tea, & I wish it had been written clearly on the menu. If I had known, I wouldn't have ordered it.
The karaage sandwich had Japanese-style fried chicken, tomatoes, lettuce, & jalapenos. I expected it to be hot, but both the bread & the chicken were cold, which was disappointing.
It also took about 30 minutes to get the sandwich after ordering. You should go there only if you have patience & plenty of time.
We got to osmo right before the rush. My hojicha latte was delicious. Would love to go back to try their sandwiches. Great vibe in there & lovely garden patio.
Quickly served, nice casual laidback ambiance & the food was delicious. Went with the classic tamago sandwich & a matcha latte. Recommend & will go again
