The employees were polite & helpful, the ordering process was efficient, & the food tasted fresh. The atmosphere added to the overall comfort of the visit. I'll definitely be returning soon.
Super cozy & bustling (in a good way) spot. The vegan curry is delicious! The staff are very friendly.
very artsy place, if ur a music person there's a bunch of albums for sale & occasionally it seems like they have someone in to Dj. Drinks we're very good, food was also good.
loved the sandos, the drinks were also really nice. Would love to come again in the future, very cute spot. A bit hard to find seats though & very crowded
A couple who I met at a bar tipped us off that this is the spot blowing up on IG. Apparently, there's a pretty cool underground cocktail lounge, but we just stuck around for the cafe.
Not sure why, but I almost always defaulted to iced when it comes to matcha & hojicha lattes. I honestly can't remember the last time I ordered one hot, so it was just nice to switch it up & taste something different. Nothing special but still a really solid cup.
The Tamago Sando was fantastic though. Wished the kitchen hadn't forgotten the smoked salmon I added, but even without, it was great. A perfectly fried jammy egg, cracked pepper, & Mornay sauce. Not the traditional Japanese Kewpie mayo route, but this fusion with French Mornay sauce based on béchamel base loaded with Emmental cheese, gave the whole thing a nice savory boost.
somehow this is the worst japanese food ive ever had. the tamago sando was alright, but not as tasty as it looked. the miso soup was flavorless, which i cannot fathom how you could mess up miso soup, packet soup literally tastes better than this. the best part of my meal was the rice, pickled raddish & yuzu green tea.
Easily Montreal best hidden secret.
The tomago sandwhich is just succulent. A must try, a must experience.
Do yourself a favor & go try it out.
You won't regret it
Best social café /restaurant/ concept with a smart Japanese touch in MTL. (Thanks to Hideyuki Imaizumi).
Food is simple & great. Prices are really OK.
Feel free to enjoy a cosy lunch there or dive into a musical experience with food & drinks that you will only get there.
Interesring atmosphere to experience, staff is nice & food/drinks were good!
Vegan curry & the setting & embiance of this place is magnificent. I came back to Montreal to eat vegan dishes & this place was on my list as a must return!
Great food & atmosphere.
The sandwich & drinks are amazing.
I'm still thinking of that osmo fog
The matcha was good, but I wish it was freshly whisked for that extra punch
I love coming here for some coffee & a smoothie after a long run with my dog. The people are very friendly. & the coffee is strong. I like it that way. Excited for the summer.
National café in a cute Neighbourhood with good decor, nice vibes, delicious coffee, & yummy snacks. I came here after the workout with my partner & we both had different coffees. They were both very good. The staff is nice & the service is quick.
