Afficher toutsando(121) cafe(111) matcha(107) sandwich(84) coffee(77) drink(74) vibe(73) latte(72) curry(70) music(68) recommend(53) egg(50)The building & entrance is hard to spot. There's a nice industrial vibe inside. The matcha is weak & powdery I would not recommend. Coffee was 10/10. The egg sandwich was delicious with deep fried breaded jammy boiled eggs. Keep in mind the kitchen does not open until 11 am if you're going for the sandwich. I would go back for the coffee & egg sandwich.
Today (June 24) late morning I went to this cafe to try their coffee, terrasse & food which were good. However, the issue is with the differential treatment I received from the cashier when I stood in the line. In front of me there was a white girl whom the cashier spoke to very nicely & ask how she was. When my turn came, the cashier's attitude suddenly shifted to a defensive attitude, cold smile, not the same treatment she offered the customer before me. An hour later I went to order some food & again the same attitude. I felt targeted by this lady.
To be fair, the people who were serving the food & making the coffee were much friendlier to me.
One of the most stylish cafes in Montreal. Remarkable design, excellent coffee, warm & kind service along with a very nice view of an inner courtyard. All served alongside Japanese sandwiches & snacks. Gets very busy around lunch.
Amazing Japanese food & espresso coffee but the music was very loud.
This is such a cool space!!!! Live DJ, great music, great coffee, good food. The staff is very friendly & the space is very clean
Unique food experience. Good coffee. Loud & live dj.
Paid 50 for attached pic.
Great sandwich & coffee! It's always very busy though because food is great.
The terrace is really nice in hot summer days too & a plus cause it's dog friendly.
Gem of an independent cafe, bistro, sake, DJ vibing joint. Excellent coffee, be quick to buy beans to go. The Matcha is superb.
I came here just after 2 p.m. specifically for the egg sando, only to find out they were sold out. Since I hadn't come up with a backup plan, I let the really kind hostess pick both my sandwich & coffee for me. You order, grab a seat, & wait for your name to be called when everything is ready.
The restaurant is easy to miss. It's set back from the street &, partially hidden behind overgrown weeds & litter. Once you find it, the space is actually below street level & has a retro, almost 1970s bunker-like vibe. There's plenty of indoor & outdoor seating, though some of the less-used furniture & fixtures could use a good dusting.
I ended up with the karaage sando & a matcha. The matcha was strong, which I appreciated. The sandwich was very meaty, though I wasn't a fan of some of the rib meat pieces.
Overall, I'd say it's a hipster hangout with a solid menu. Just be sure to get there before the kitchen closes at 3 p.m. & even earlier if you have your heart set on something specific.
C'est génial!!!! I love a place that unapologetically commits to a vibe. Don't get me started on the loud immaculate music, I LOVE IT. In a sea of the cookie cutter coffee shop, Osmo takes you underground...with a suspended disco ball & delicious lattes & food. I dunno why people bother describing food when yall have mouths & tongues. Don't take my word for it, give your mouth & senses a gift.
