Osmo X Marusan comes across as a stylish, vibrant cafe in downtown Montreal with a lively vibe, strong coffee and a notable lineup of matcha and hojicha lattes, plus creative Japanese inspired sandwiches such as tamago sando and karaage sando and curry bowls; the space and terrace are great for studying or hanging out, and a casual DJ moment adds to the atmosphere, but the place is often crowded and loud with long waits for food at peak times, and some dishes or portions can feel small or uneven while service can be variable, yet the overall experience centers on the ambiance and drinks and many guests say they would return to try new items.
somehow this is the worst japanese food ive ever had. the tamago sando was alright, but not as tasty as it looked. the miso soup was flavorless, which i cannot fathom how you could mess up miso soup, packet soup literally tastes better than this. the best part of my meal was the rice, pickled raddish & yuzu green tea.
Best social café /restaurant/ concept with a smart Japanese touch in MTL. (Thanks to Hideyuki Imaizumi).
Food is simple & great. Prices are really OK.
Feel free to enjoy a cosy lunch there or dive into a musical experience with food & drinks that you will only get there.
Vegan curry & the setting & embiance of this place is magnificent. I came back to Montreal to eat vegan dishes & this place was on my list as a must return!

I love coming here for some coffee & a smoothie after a long run with my dog. The people are very friendly. & the coffee is strong. I like it that way. Excited for the summer.

National café in a cute Neighbourhood with good decor, nice vibes, delicious coffee, & yummy snacks. I came here after the workout with my partner & we both had different coffees. They were both very good. The staff is nice & the service is quick.
Matcha was amazing. Egg sandwich really nice & so was the chicken curry.
Place was very busy & loud music so not somewhere I'd go to relax but would go often for lunch if I lived in Montreal.

Cool place to get coffee during my lunch break at work. It is at walking distance & the middle of downtown so very easy to access. The decor & chill vibes are relaxing.
