These days it's hard to find real matcha at cafes but this was was one of the best ones I've had in a while & you can tell the powder is high-grade / ceremonial. & the terrace was extremely cozy & perfect for anyone who wants to get some work done!
Loved this cafe, I ordered the mango matcha, I was told it wasn't sweet but it was. I didn't mind it, but it wasn't the best. They had a good selection of pastries too, & a lunch menu.
Really cool atmosphere, had good music playing in the background (note that it is loud, but it's chill music).
This is a very trendy place. I saw an influencer go here so I decided to go. It was on a Saturday & there was a bit of a line. I decided to go with the tamago sando & this matcha ice cream treat. Cashier was very nice & helped me with choosing what to order. I got a bit frustrated because at first I received the wrong dessert, & then the server seemed confused when I said I also ordered a tamago sando. Eventually they brought me the correct dessert but I was starting to worry that maybe I wasn't getting the tamago sando, especially since I didn't ask for my receipt. So I eventually got up & went to the cashier to see if he remembered me. I told him how they got my dessert wrong & mentioned my sando. The girl by him started to get defensive about how she remade my dessert. Look, I'm just trying to make sure everything is on track. Anyway, the cashier assured me that things were just very busy. Eventually I got my sando. The dessert & the sando were both very delicious & flavorful, & worth the wait. I think it would've been a better experience if I went on a less busy day.
I will note that there's construction in the area so it was difficult to find the café without asking a local where it was. They have a wooden tunnel that goes from the sidewalk to the café.
It seems as though there has been quite a change with Cafe OSMO. It used to be a very good food but they have completely change their recipes. If you're coming for the egg sandwich don't bother, the egg portion reduced & it's no longer egg & béchamel, it's now just an egg salad sandwich. Wait time was crazy long too even though it wasn't full. Servers are always nice enough
Very aesthetically pleasing cafe with yummy food & drinks! Staff is very friendly just beware what time you arrive as there will definitely be limited seating.
what a treat. this cafe is so cute & has great vibes. the tamagotchi sando was a 4.7/5, wish it was seasoned slightly more but the milk bread & runny yolk were exceptional. Chicken curry was also quite delicious! Marinated perfectly & accompanied with some pickled cucumber & cabbage - YUM! 4.6/5! Lastly the osmo fog & matcha brownie were perfect to finish off the meal. Would come back again, music is elite, ambiance is great & the experience was well worth the wait!
This cafe was right beside where I was staying in Montreal, so I had to try it out. I was so pleasantly surprised - it is such a vibe! It's quite obvious which items are the most popular, including the egg sandwich which we ordered multiple of. It was certainly delicious, & not something you can order just anywhere!
I also enjoyed all the iced drinks, which came for free with the purchase of a bag of coffee beans.
Great Japanese cafe in the city. The matcha is strong, smooth & umami. Many alternative milk options as well. We got the egg sando & katsu curry. I really loved the curry & the portion was a proper meal size, it looks smaller in photos 😅 The egg sando was also good but, more of a quick/light bite since the bottom half of the sandwich is just mayo ahah. Either way, a must visit for good matcha!!
Before 11AM & when the lunch menu isnt available, the cafe is pretty much empty. But, afterwards it fills up quick. I'd recommend heading there slightly early, like 10min before if you want to get a table with friends or want to work there. Otherwise, there is a ton of seating!
