Really love the egg sandwich with or without salmon. I really recommend their chaï not a fan of matcha but looks like I should be.. 😂
Been wanting to come here for a while & it did not disappoint. It is the perfect place to grab a quick lunch & study while you're at it. However it is a bit noisy so i would not recommend studying here if you get distracted easily.
The food & drinks were amazing! I like their hojicha latte & the curry rice the most but all their other options are amazing as well.
OSMO has now become my favourite cafe in the city! There was good lowkey music, beautiful natural lighting through the sky light, & the food/drinks were top tier. I would recommend this place to go study or to go get coffee with a friend
I loved the architecture of this place, it's so chic…. I had the matcha cookie with my yuzu lemonade & the cookie was so fire… the lemonade is also objectively very good, I am someone who enjoys a painfully sweet lemonade so it was a tad sour but also still very enjoyable. The music they play in there is also groovy. They sell some records too for good prices so I'd definitely recommend to check out with friends!
Spot tres sympa, les cafés sont excellents !!! La bouffe est plutot bonne. Bon service
Bon systeme son, ideal pour ceux qui veulent de la musique dans un café 😉
Je recommande le sesame noir latte & le Osmo Fog!!
Came here with my boyfriend on a Thursday afternoon & it was super packed with people studying but they were able to clear a seat for us to eat. 10/10 service for that!
We got the Karaage Sando & Tamago Sando. We found the tamago sando a bit plain, wish it had a bit more salt or maybe chili crisp 🤔🤔🤔. However, the karaage was delicious. We also shared a Hojicha Latte which was suuuper yummy, definitely recommend that.
They had the best karaage that I've ever had in North America so far. It is so juicy, tender & well-seasoned, always comes in fresh. They not just put the starch outside, but also keep the chicken skin & fried them well, which is really nice!
I would also recommend their matcha latte & h?jicha latte. They taste great as well!
The only downside for their meals is it comes with a small portion, only 2-3 pieces of chicken is a bit not enough. & the curry itself tastes a bit normal. I also ordered the karaage sandwich version but their bread is a bit dry. But at the end, definitely a big fan of the karaage flavor.
Cute little hidden next an old building & its underground. They have good music sometimes a bit loud but someone went to adjust the sound. Food was delicious. I really recommend the Tamago Sando egg sandwich. The sauce inside with the eggs were a great combination. Keep napkins near, it's a bit messy.
The curry is delicious & the drinks were so good. Can personally recommend the Chai Latte & dirty Chai.
Great breakfast at this artsy, creative underground cafe ;) also had a delicious London fog with beautiful latte art. I recommend!
Had the Tomago Sando which was really good & also tried the hojicha latte & yuzu lemonade. The lemonade was sour & not too sweet in the best way. I would recommend all of these items. It is a unique space that is well decorated. When we visited on a Saturday afternoon it was busy & there was a dj playing, so it was pretty loud. It doesn't have the relaxing atmosphere I would usually enjoy at a café.
My family came in August 2024 as we were craving Japanese egg sandos. To our surprise, the katsu sando was even better than the egg sando. The fillings were plentiful & flavourful, & we recommended this place to friends as well.
We passed by Montréal again on a road trip & stopped for a quick bite. Our second visit was still good, but the katsus were much thinner than the year prior (as evidenced in the attached photos). That said, I'd still recommend this place for anyone who wants to try authentic Japanese egg or katsu sandos.
Quickly served, nice casual laidback ambiance & the food was delicious. Went with the classic tamago sandwich & a matcha latte. Recommend & will go again
The vibe of the place is nice & the food's good. But one of the servers made the experience uncomfortable. Imagine this place came highly recommended by peers & it's your first meal of the day, but the service ends up leaving you frustrated.
Great hangout/study space. Egg sando was bland & the bread texture is just okay (not fun to bite into); would recommend getting the Katsu sando in Chinatown instead. Chai Latte is also lacking flavor but not offensive.
Osmo X Marusan Café-Terrasse is an absolute gem in downtown Montreal! From the moment you step inside this stylish, brutalist-inspired space, you know you're in for something special. The vibe is vibrant yet cozy, with plenty of natural light, lush plants, & a welcoming atmosphere perfect for working, hanging out, or enjoying a meal.
But let's talk food-this café truly shines with some of the best sandwiches in town. Whether it's their famous fried egg sandwich or the inventive pork chop sando, each bite bursts with flavor & creativity. The menu also features delicious Japanese-inspired dishes like ebi curry & katsu curry that are perfect for lunch or a casual dinner. Pair your meal with their expertly crafted coffee or a sublime matcha latte, & you're set for a fantastic experience.
The staff are friendly & knowledgeable, always ready to help you pick the perfect drink or sandwich. In the warmer months, their terraces offer a lovely spot to relax with a drink, & the occasional live DJ adds a fun, lively touch to the ambiance.
If you want a unique café experience that combines excellent Japanese flavors, top-notch coffee, & a cool, social atmosphere, Osmo X Marusan Café-Terrasse is a must-visit. Don't miss out on their sandwiches-they're truly some of the best in Montreal!
Highly recommended for locals & visitors alike.
I had the lavender London fog here & it was divine! The perfect sweetness while not being sugary, & perfectly warm! Also, the ambiance was delectable with this cafés cool & vintage feel! I definitely recommend!
Loooooove this place. The vibe is so comforting. Service is great & welcoming. Highly recommend. Also the chicken is busssinn hehehe 😁
I love the Macha latte & enjoyed the sandwich over all. But wouldn't recommend if you want to sit down & relax for a while & chill because the environment is a bit noisy & crowded with the students. I rarely got my space on that day. Food are great though
Absolutely lovely, highly recommend. The music was a little maouder than what you'd expect from cafe background music, but that didn't bother me personally (the music was very cool)
Also shoutout to the one black barista, you have a very nice & smooth voice:)
