matcha(22) mochi(17) cheesecake(7) ube(6) latte(5) fresh(5) recommend(5) drink(5) ice cream(4) cake(4) authentic(4) japanese(4)Mochi is so good, very delicious, especially the matcha & chocolate flavors. The cake is just average. Will definitely come back to buy mochi again.
Authentic Japanese sweets shop with Japanese treats like dango that are hard to find elsewhere. We ordered the matcha latte with strawberry purée, dangos, & the ube cheesecake & it was all delicious. In Japan, people prefer the taste to be more delicate & not too sweet. I read other reviews calling the taste diluted & suspect it is because in the West, some people's taste buds are used to too much sugar (the issue of many popular western cafes using a disgusting & unhealthy amount of sugar has been well covered in the media). But this is a great, authentic Japanese bakery & taste.
Service was great, he was very welcoming & made our experience fabulous. Ube cheesecake tasted authentic & fresh as well as the dangos, very hard to find them in Montreal. Will come back for more sweets.
The owner is super friendly & the boba is amazing!! We also tried the ube basque cheesecake & mochi, everything was so good. You can really tell they care about what they serve.
Mochi were amazing. Cannelé lacked caramelisation on the outside. I'll be back to try more. Service was nice & warm.
Ube cheesecake was one of the best things to grace my tastebuds. I was addicted & ate it multiple times a week, couldn't stay away! Matcha is also amazing, very good quality. If you want to taste real Japanese matcha, try it here, its better than what I had in Japan! Ill be back every week
I ordered the iced matcha latte & it was very mid, almost bad, like the one i make at home tastes better & the service took so long but that isn't a problem cuz there was just 1 guy working on cash & food.
The matcha here is actually legit, not bitter or chalky like most places. I'm obsessed with iced strawberry one!!!!
They have the best canelés! It's the one thing I always pick up for the house
Had a great experience with the staff! They made me rediscover matcha, they listened to my concerns about my first experience & helped me find one I truly enjoyed! Safe to say I'm a matcha girly noww 🍵🌸
Definitely recommend,
Thank youu
I had the best matcha latte here! Definitely recommend to matcha lovers, they use real matcha at the perfect amount.
Surprised people are giving this place a one star. First of all, the owner is an absolute sweetheart. He's very knowledgable, smart & open minded. Shoutout to you if you read this! Yeah, the food can be unlikeable to some, like personally i find the matcha cheese cake a bit muddy & not too sweet, but their drinks are top tier. They clearly thought it through. This place is an experience.
To be honest, I was quite disgusted & didn't really appreciate the food I ordered with my friend.
We ordered a mango matcha latte, a honey hojicha, & their ube basque cheesecake.
Overall, the taste ranged from bad to mediocre. The matcha really lacked flavor, it wasn't strong enough & gave off a watery, metallic taste. It was too diluted, & only the mango purée helped make it a tad bit sweeter. The same goes for the hojicha, the presence of hojicha was barely there, as it was also too diluted by the milk.
The ube basque cheesecake was really weird. Although the color was popping & pretty, the ube flavor was not present at all. It tasted more like a normal, ordinary traditional cheesecake. It feels like they just added food coloring for aesthetic purposes while ignoring the true taste of ube.
It has a lot of potential for improvement.
The ube cheesecake is so good! Even the hojicha latte tastes comforting. Also try the sesame mochi 👌👌👌. Will comeback again!:)
Qualité des produits vraiment médiocre. Le thé vert goûte le moisi (couleur d'additif de colorant vert) aucun goût de thé. Le café carrément de l'eau coloré. Les petits gâteaux à chacun son goût.
Déception totale 😩
Yesterday, my friend & I decided to visit a newly opened establishment that appeared promising. Unfortunately, the experience proved to be unsatisfactory. We ordered the mango matcha, honey hojicha, & ube basque cheesecake. The beverages lacked distinct flavor, & the cheesecake did not meet our expectations for a quality dessert.
Love the place. But mo way to contact them. Shelf life not provided on dessert.
