Are you kidding me I'm Canadian & i feel like i just discovered what it's like to be Canadian again!!! That poutine is NUTS!!! But it's not all sunshine & rainbows sadly. After reading reviews to see confirm whether i should get the fish & chips or not - i locked in my choice after seeing positive reviews & also was recommended by the waitress. I'm not no shmuck when it comes to fish & chips. People know not mess around with me when it comes to fish & chips. When i put the fish & chips in my mouth i was abruptly disappointed by the bland rubbery texture that was met with my taste buds. Nuff said My darling wife of 10 years said she loved her French onion soup so that is a plus. I will be back for the poutine. No if, ands, or buts.

Bistro pub located in what looks to be an old garage. Dim lit atmosphere great for relaxing with a great meal. Service was top notch & the duck confit poutine was the MVP & didn't make the pic due to being swarmed by us. Tried Walleye for the first time & great taste for freshwater fish & served over rice & fantastic coleslaw type mix with it. Great recommendation.
Début de soirée avec ma blonde au comptoir !😁 18h30 vendredi soir ! & ben y a d'l'ambiance les serveurs ont le smile ! On kiff notre début soirée ! 2 pintes 🍻 & une poutine classique à partager ! Je dirais la base ... 😋

The place was very clean & well maintained. The staff were very friendly & quick. To drink I had the Oliver Twist which was delicious. For dinner I had the Duck Confit Poutine which was to die for. Come here for a delicious casual meal in Montreal.
I had a really great experience at NYKS with my mom & brother. The food, service & atmosphere were extraordinary. I couldn't believe how busy it was for a Sunday night, but after trying the food, I could definitely see why. We got the duck poutine, flank steak & fries, creme brule & french onion soup. All of the food was outstanding & we surprisingly finished all of the food in the restaurant. We were still talking about the food days after.
Was craving for poutine so popped in to get a take out order of the classic poutine. It's pretty decent but not spectacular... The restaurant was busy when I was there, but the waitress attended to me very fast & professionally. Seems like a nice place to hang out with friends. Might come back another time to try other things on the menu.

Visited montreal for the weekend & this place was on my list. Loved the duck poutine. They even squeezed me in despite not having a reservation on a busy evening.
NYKS Pub is fantastic! The service is excellent, with incredibly kind staff. I had the onion soup, which was amazing, & my husband had the Dutch poutine-OMG, sooo good. This super cute pub has a great vibe & atmosphere. Plus, they have the best cocktails in Montreal. Highly recommend!
3.5 stars . Located near me I figured I would give this place a shot for dinner. I ordered the tartare of the moment & it was beef. Good enough but lacked a bit of oophm. My boyfriend got the burger with bacon & cheese but the cheese was not melted so it looked overall cold, he said the taste was alright. The fries & side salad were really good in my opinion! So next time I think I'll try the poutine. The service was great & friendly! I recommend reserving in advance because the place is a bit small & it fills up quick!
Overall, I had a pretty good experience at NYKS. Got seated quickly due to having a reservation. Problem we had was that our food order never went through which took double the time to get our food. They had been nice enough to give us the drinks on the house which was nice of them. The poutine wasn't great tbh. Had this burnt & sweet taste to it. The tartare was okay. The french onion soup was absolutely delicious!!!
What a gem! After hearing all the hype about the duck poutine, I had to try it for myself, & it absolutely delivered. The staff were incredibly friendly, & the atmosphere was top-notch. Definitely worth a visit!
