A solid 4.5. We went in for a late lunch about 3pm. It wasn't busy. The Duck Confit Poutine was tasty, & cost $27

I had the best pasta I've ever had here, called Mushroom Pappardelle. Whenever I visit montreal I make sure to stop by & have some. Definitely does get busy on weekends, even for takeout. But worth it for this pasta.

The food doesn't look that great, but the taste & smell more than make up for it. I recommend making a reservation because it was very busy. The atmosphere is nice, & the waiters are great too. The beer is the best I've had in Montreal. It's a really good place in terms of quality & price.
Service was kind, not pretentious, & quick. Food was delectable; the salad & pasta were generous proportions. It was very busy but the staff were friendly & competent despite the rush. Great stop, good cocktails & grub!
Loved this place! It gets very busy at night on the weekends once all the shops are closed but the atmosphere was incredible. The food was delicious & reasonably priced (at least for us paying in USD). Service was slightly backed up while we were dinning but that contributed to every table being filled. Overall, would definitely come back here!

Visiting from out of town, I had dinner here this past week on someone's recommendation. The meal was great, the bistro pub vibe was nice, but the service was seriously lacking. The cocktail (L'amère pompette) was refreshing & not too sweet, & the duck confit salad was delicious & filling - the duck leg was tender with some nice crispy bits, the salad was not overdressed (as is often the case), & the vinaigrette was really well done - the seasonings were very nicely balanced, not too acidic, not too salty. However, I was largely neglected by my server. I was sitting at one of the few tables available outside, & the tables inside were busy, but didn't seem overly busy. After I got my cocktail, I took my time to enjoy it & the lovely weather, finished it, & then waited, & waited. Finally decided to get the attention of another server to order my meal. When my original server brought out the salad, I asked if I could also have some bread with it - they said no problem, it will just be a few minutes in the oven (& so I was thinking wow, the bread will be nice). The server never came back with the bread, & never came back period. Since the the salad was generous, I decided to not bother asking for bread again, but again, after finishing my meal, I waited. I had to flag my server down so that I could pay the bill. I still gave a decent tip, since I enjoyed the food, but the service was disappointing, especially since it seems that the service is usually good based on the other reviews.
We've been to Nyks Bistro-Pub twice. The food has always been very good, with generous portions. Both times we visited, the service wasn't particularly fast, but the place was quite busy.
Solo dining was a hoot. Got to do some people watching & chat with a few fellow diners. Wait staff were very friendly & kept the flow going on a busy night. Had gazpacho - perfect for a warm night - & bavette with frites. It was generous, perfectly cooked & delicious.
A busy, tavern type atmosphere with some really excellent food! I've never been disappointed with the menu. The space is small & tables are tight but I think that adds to the overall energy of the place!
We came on halloween night. I was worried it was too loud but when we sat down we could still hear each other fine. The staff were friendly despite how clearly busy it was, & always timely to attend to my table. The cider was great. I had a bloody romeo, their take on a caesar, & as a fan of caesars, it was so smooth & delicious, while a little on the sweet side. My dining partner who dislikes clamato or tomato juice tried some & loved it too! The french onion soup was as good as the other reviews say, & I decided to try the vegetable burger with sundried tomatoes, & it's honestly probably the best burger I've ever had. We'll 100% be returning. Everything was fantastic, thank you so much! Also, all the staff were dressed up for halloween as shaggy behind the bar, & velma, fred, & daphne serving. It was really cute that they'd coordinated like that!
I had a really great experience at NYKS with my mom & brother. The food, service & atmosphere were extraordinary. I couldn't believe how busy it was for a Sunday night, but after trying the food, I could definitely see why. We got the duck poutine, flank steak & fries, creme brule & french onion soup. All of the food was outstanding & we surprisingly finished all of the food in the restaurant. We were still talking about the food days after.
Was craving for poutine so popped in to get a take out order of the classic poutine. It's pretty decent but not spectacular... The restaurant was busy when I was there, but the waitress attended to me very fast & professionally. Seems like a nice place to hang out with friends. Might come back another time to try other things on the menu.
Really great hospitality from the staff! Came at a busy time but was still very welcomed & received friendly attentive service! I enjoy hearing the oldies 🎶 & I like the decor! Duck was a tad dry but the gravy was a nice interesting flavour & the curds melted & squeaky ! Good portion! Merci!
