Nyks Bistro Pub apparaît comme une halte conviviale et chaleureuse au cœur de Montréal, mêlant l'ambiance pub et une cuisine soignée avec des plats comme le confit de canard en poutine, les moules et d'autres spécialités créatives. Les avis convergent sur la qualité des aliments, les portions généreuses et un service attentif et efficace, même lors des soirées très fréquentées; l'atmosphère peut être animée et un peu bruyante mais reste accueillante et cosy, idéale pour sortir entre amis ou pour un repas tardif après le spectacle. We came to Montreal for a long weekend visit. Spotted Nyks & went in for a drink & ended up staying for 2 1/2 hours - seems the locals appreciate this place as well. What a lively & fun place! Jordan behind the bar is very friendly, welcoming, & a great bartender. We ended up returning the next evening for more drinks & dinner. The poutine avec confit de canard was incredible. We will certainly visit any time we are in Montreal.
A friend & I visited NYKS during our most recent trip to MTL! We ordered the calamari & the duck confit poutine & both were extremely tasty! The duck confit poutine definitely was my favourite- & arguably the best poutine I had in MTL! I definitely will stop by the next time i'm in the city!
I'm so looking forward to coming back here. The beer was delicious... But I have a complaint about the Duck Confit Poutine.... Why didn't anyone tell me about this before? It was so delicious. Maybe a once in a decade thing or I'll end up weighing 700llbs but honestly a great treat - make sure you're hungry first.
Visiting from out of town, I had dinner here this past week on someone's recommendation. The meal was great, the bistro pub vibe was nice, but the service was seriously lacking. The cocktail (L'amère pompette) was refreshing & not too sweet, & the duck confit salad was delicious & filling - the duck leg was tender with some nice crispy bits, the salad was not overdressed (as is often the case), & the vinaigrette was really well done - the seasonings were very nicely balanced, not too acidic, not too salty. However, I was largely neglected by my server. I was sitting at one of the few tables available outside, & the tables inside were busy, but didn't seem overly busy. After I got my cocktail, I took my time to enjoy it & the lovely weather, finished it, & then waited, & waited. Finally decided to get the attention of another server to order my meal. When my original server brought out the salad, I asked if I could also have some bread with it - they said no problem, it will just be a few minutes in the oven (& so I was thinking wow, the bread will be nice). The server never came back with the bread, & never came back period. Since the the salad was generous, I decided to not bother asking for bread again, but again, after finishing my meal, I waited. I had to flag my server down so that I could pay the bill. I still gave a decent tip, since I enjoyed the food, but the service was disappointing, especially since it seems that the service is usually good based on the other reviews.

Boisterous gastro-pub. I sat at the bar & was well looked after by the bar-tender who mixed drinks, pulled drafts & filled water glasses so deftly, he seemed to have eight arms. The Confit Duck Salad was so tasty, I might go back again tonight!
Superbe expérience au NYKS Bistro-Pub ! Excellente poutine (mention spéciale à celle au confit de canard), dessert délicieux & ambiance chaleureuse. Le service est impeccable & bonne musique.
Seul bémol : les tables sont assez proches & le bar devient très bruyant quand il est plein. Malgré cela, un bon spot pour une soirée conviviale à Montréal !

Great dinner. Attentive service. Great food. We had the Picanha steak & the Duck Confit Salad. Wonderful. Everything was perfectly balanced. Not too sweet, not too spicy, beautiful appointed sides to go with both of them. It was a quick dinner for us, but was Great. We will be back. Waitresses & hostess were superb with quick seating & clear directions.
Bistro pub located in what looks to be an old garage. Dim lit atmosphere great for relaxing with a great meal. Service was top notch & the duck confit poutine was the MVP & didn't make the pic due to being swarmed by us. Tried Walleye for the first time & great taste for freshwater fish & served over rice & fantastic coleslaw type mix with it. Great recommendation.
The place was very clean & well maintained. The staff were very friendly & quick. To drink I had the Oliver Twist which was delicious. For dinner I had the Duck Confit Poutine which was to die for. Come here for a delicious casual meal in Montreal.
Absolutely awesome! It's one of the coolest restaurants/bars I've ever been to. The space was super clean & inviting. The Duck Confit salad was incredible, as were all the beers we had. Staff were generally friendly. They were super quick & attentive. Will definitely be back next time I am back in Montreal
