This is a place where you can truly enjoy spending your time in. Spent a Friday night here with friends while visiting the city for the weekend & the hours flew by. Great drinks, friendly service, plus the most unique & delicious poutine you'll ever come across. Definitely worth a visit when downtown
I came here with my mother so she could try the poutine which was incredible. Our server Alex was the best!! She took incredible care of us & was very friendly. Will return next time I'm in Montreal!

Fantastic experience at NYKS in Montreal. The vibe was relaxed & inviting, service was absolutely superb, & every dish delivered. The four cheese French onion soup was rich, comforting, & packed with flavor. The NYKS classic poutine was exactly what you'd want-crispy fries, savory gravy, & perfectly melty cheese curds. The duck confit poutine took it to another level-decadent, flavorful, & worth every bite. Would absolutely come back next time I'm in Montreal.
Great food, you can go vegetarian, having something more classic, i.e. boudin sausage, or do a burger, or, in my case, a poutine. Nyks also has a great choice of beer on tap, with en emphasis on local brews. Service is quite excellent, even when the place is packed, which is at lunchtime (they do reservations) & for dinner.
A solid 4.5. We went in for a late lunch about 3pm. It wasn't busy. The Duck Confit Poutine was tasty, & cost $27
A small glass of wine (4 ounces maybe?) Cost between $10 - $14

We came to Montreal for a long weekend visit. Spotted Nyks & went in for a drink & ended up staying for 2 1/2 hours - seems the locals appreciate this place as well. What a lively & fun place! Jordan behind the bar is very friendly, welcoming, & a great bartender. We ended up returning the next evening for more drinks & dinner. The poutine avec confit de canard was incredible. We will certainly visit any time we are in Montreal.
The food is really good but I still haven't come to terms with 30$ burgers. I know it's just how things are now but I don't know, I'm not sure any burger is try worth 30$ without a drink.
The athmosphere is nice, typical pub athmosphere. The staff is really helpful & nice though, they make the experience really worth it.
Overall definitely worth checking out. They have a 17$ foie gras sauce poutine, I'd say that's a deal in 2025!

My wife & I stumbled into this Irish pub looking for a beer while touring Montreal years ago. We got the duck poutine with fois gras gravy & it's literally the greatest poutine we've ever had! We're poutine connoisseurs & have traveled all around the Quebec area & this is a must go to for all poutine fans!! Great atmosphere, good service & amazing food!!
A friend & I visited NYKS during our most recent trip to MTL! We ordered the calamari & the duck confit poutine & both were extremely tasty! The duck confit poutine definitely was my favourite- & arguably the best poutine I had in MTL! I definitely will stop by the next time i'm in the city!
I'm so looking forward to coming back here. The beer was delicious... But I have a complaint about the Duck Confit Poutine.... Why didn't anyone tell me about this before? It was so delicious. Maybe a once in a decade thing or I'll end up weighing 700llbs but honestly a great treat - make sure you're hungry first.
Waited quite bit of time for the food to come out for take out. The food was cold on a 5 minute walk
Ordered: poutine-gravy tasted burnt not even hot enough to melt the cheese
Fish & chips- cold no flavor/fries were burnt
Calamari- soggy
Greek salad- tomatoes where mushy
We stopped in here for a poutine fix. The place was packed! Our server was very friendly, though a bit rushed due to the crowd. We ordered the duck poutine & the bison burger. The duck poutine was unique & tasty, though the fries & gravy could have been better. The bison burger was good, but nothing out of the ordinary. Overall, a solid spot, but not mind-blowing.
