Nyks Bistro Pub apparaît comme une halte conviviale et chaleureuse au cœur de Montréal, mêlant l'ambiance pub et une cuisine soignée avec des plats comme le confit de canard en poutine, les moules et d'autres spécialités créatives. Un bar/bistrot vraiment très agréable & accueillant. Des bières locales, un services au top & un ambiance chaleureuse. Bon pub.
Petit bémol: pas assez de nourriture de pub, il faudrait plus d'appetizers

J'ai passé une excellente soirée dans ce resto. Dès l'arrivée, on sent une vraie attention aux détails & un désir sincère de faire vivre une belle expérience aux clients.
Benoit, le propriétaire, est vraiment sur la coche : présent, chaleureux, toujours à s'assurer que tout est parfait. On sent qu'il fait ça avec passion.
Max, le barman, offre un service impeccable, professionnel & super sympathique. On se sent tout de suite à l'aise.
& le saganaki… wow.
Le fromage kefalo flambé au brandy est autant un spectacle qu'un pur plaisir en bouche. Un must.
Bref, une équipe solide, une ambiance accueillante & une cuisine qui donne envie de revenir.

We came to Montreal for a long weekend visit. Spotted Nyks & went in for a drink & ended up staying for 2 1/2 hours - seems the locals appreciate this place as well. What a lively & fun place! Jordan behind the bar is very friendly, welcoming, & a great bartender. We ended up returning the next evening for more drinks & dinner. The poutine avec confit de canard was incredible. We will certainly visit any time we are in Montreal.
Their duck is to die for. In general their dishes tend to be unique yet well executed. The atmosphere is good & the music they play is generally inoffensive &, at least in my opinion, pretty fun! It's a pretty popular place, though because of the acoustics my girlfriend & I never had a problem hearing eachother. Pricing was also very fair. Their prices were competitive with those of other bars in Montreal, while their plating & presentation easily put any of the aforementioned to shame.
I enjoy going to Nyks & it is one of my favorite bars to visit in Montreal. Chef Jessyka is the main reason I go for her excellent'special of the day' menu options, it never disappoints, always my'go to' item. I also love the saganaki & everyone turns to see the flames.
Went here with 4 friends earlier today! We had the pleasure of having Mike as our bartender. Genuinely gave us an unforgettable experience for our first time in Montreal! He killed it all night with all the other guests too & went above & beyond the whole time!
Definitely a place I would recommend to go to, super friendly staff, good food & amazing drinks 🙏🏼
NYKS is a cool-yet-unassuming bistro/pub that surpasses expectations with it's great food, drinks, & service.
We visited NYKS for lunch on a Thursday afternoon in July. There's a few options in the area of Ste-Catherine & Bleury Streets, but we found one of the best.
Upon arrival around noon, the place was coming alive. The staff were friendly & welcoming. We were quickly seated at a high-top table for two on the sidewalk out front, which was rather nice. NYKS had its streetside garage-style windows rolled up, with nice tables set up at the interior's edge that gave patrons inside a cool summer vibe & made passers-by (like us) want to drop in for a visit.
Our server was excellent. Friendly, charming, efficient, helpful. What more can you ask? It was a hot summer day & he quickly took our drink order & ensured that we had refreshment right away.
Before I discuss the unexpectedly excellent food, I'll mention that our server claimed NYKS had the best pour of Guinness in Montreal. I've been to all the best Irish (& English) pubs in the city, & Guinness is'my' beer, so his words raised an eyebrow. I happily put his claim to the test. The best in the city? Them's fightin' words, on a stage of unstable dynamite. But having recently enjoyed Montreal pub crawl experiences (plural), along with my fair share of pints'o the black stuff, I'll say this: I split the G & thoroughly enjoyed my glass. Followed by another.
The food was outstanding & of much higher quality than we expected for an afternoon lunch at an unpretentious bistro. For that matter, the food was as good (or better) than that which had been served to us at some of top-rated places we'd recently visited. A pleasant surprise!
For an appetizer, we had a fabulous'warm seasonal mushroom brushetta.' For lunch, it was an excellent & surprisingly satisfying Niçoise salad, with a generous portion of pan-seared tuna steak, mixed green salad, green beans, tomatoes, baby potatoes, a soft-boiled egg, kalamata olives, red onions, & fresh herb dressing. Also, a very tasty Ratatouille, with added lamb sausage, Kalamata olives, feta cheese, & puff pastry with basil pesto.
All in all, a 5-star lunch.
I've frequently walked past NYKS in the evening & it appeared to be a popular bar for the 5-to-7 & nighttime crowds. Based on other reviews, it seems that's true. But it's also true that NYKS is more than just a bar. It's a great little place for refreshing drinks & an exceptionally nice meal.
Boisterous gastro-pub. I sat at the bar & was well looked after by the bar-tender who mixed drinks, pulled drafts & filled water glasses so deftly, he seemed to have eight arms. The Confit Duck Salad was so tasty, I might go back again tonight!
Premiere fois que je viens au nyks & juste dire que Julien & Big Papa sont probablemt les serveurs/bartender les plus agreable de l'île de montreal Mega professionnel & peu importe la question que tu as ils ont la reponse. Ils ont une enorme panoplie d'alcool different & sont tres conaisseurs dans tout ce qu'ils offrent. Je recommande a tout le monde! If you want to have a good time come see Julien & Big Papa & you will have the best time ever! One love guys!

Superbe expérience au NYKS Bistro-Pub ! Excellente poutine (mention spéciale à celle au confit de canard), dessert délicieux & ambiance chaleureuse. Le service est impeccable & bonne musique.
Seul bémol : les tables sont assez proches & le bar devient très bruyant quand il est plein. Malgré cela, un bon spot pour une soirée conviviale à Montréal !
We came on halloween night. I was worried it was too loud but when we sat down we could still hear each other fine. The staff were friendly despite how clearly busy it was, & always timely to attend to my table. The cider was great. I had a bloody romeo, their take on a caesar, & as a fan of caesars, it was so smooth & delicious, while a little on the sweet side. My dining partner who dislikes clamato or tomato juice tried some & loved it too! The french onion soup was as good as the other reviews say, & I decided to try the vegetable burger with sundried tomatoes, & it's honestly probably the best burger I've ever had. We'll 100% be returning. Everything was fantastic, thank you so much! Also, all the staff were dressed up for halloween as shaggy behind the bar, & velma, fred, & daphne serving. It was really cute that they'd coordinated like that!
Excellent post concert spot. Kitchen is open late. Onion soup is a 10. Cool vibe. Crowded even after 10pm, but friendly staff got us a couple of bar seats.
