Mundo Trattoria est né d'un rêve partagé par deux familles. Aujourd'hui, l'histoire se poursuit avec Johnny et Julian, des amis de toujours dont les pères ont fondé le restaurant ensemble. Ancrés dans la tradition et animés par la passion, ils ont su préserver l'essence d'une véritable trattoria italienne ici même à Kirkland.
Des pâtes fraîches faites à la main au veau tendre, en passant par les fruits de mer de saison, chaque plat reflète les saveurs de l'Italie et le soin particulier propre à une entreprise familiale. Fort de plus de 10 ans de service et de quatre décennies de tradition culinaire italienne, Mundo Trattoria est bien plus qu'un simple restaurant : c'est un endroit où l'on se sent chez soi.
Les critiques présentent Mundo Trattoria comme une adresse italienne chaleureuse, offrant une nourriture excellente, un service attentif et une ambiance animée adaptée aussi bien aux célébrations qu'aux dîners plus détendus. Leurs portions généreuses et des plats savoureux tels que les tagliatelles et l'osso buco, sans oublier le tiramisu, ainsi qu'une carte des vins bien pensée, sont souvent soulignés, tout comme le cadre accueillant même lorsque le restaurant est bondé. La soirée musicale du vendredi et la capacité du personnel à satisfaire les demandes spéciales contribuent à des expériences mémorables. Certaines remarques évoquent toutefois une salle parfois sombre ou calme et un service un peu lent lors des grandes affluences. Dans l'ensemble, Mundo Trattoria apparaît comme une valeur sûre dans l'ouest de l'île pour des repas réconfortants et une hospitalité chaleureuse.
Good overall dinner at Mundo. The service was very warm & welcoming, which really set the tone for the night. We enjoyed a nice Chianti, & the beet salad was a standout to start. The pasta dishes were delicious, especially the mushroom & truffle & the beef ragù. A lovely touch to end the evening when the staff kindly brought us complimentary ice cream. Really appreciated the hospitality & would happily return.
This place is a true gem in Kirkland! The food is amazing & service top notch. We went for lunch menu. Start with the table bread which is warm & crunchy. The sea food salad is full of flavour. Fresh catch was a white big fish, tender & fresh, very well cooked & seasoned. My friend ordered pasta & pork chop, they were all amazingly tasty. Highly recommend this lovely restaurant.

My husband & I called on a Saturday evening & were grateful to get a last-minute dinner reservation at Mundo Trattoria. The ambiance was warm & inviting. The food was good, but unfortunately, the service-specifically from the kitchen-was incredibly slow.
Our server, Max, was great & did his best, but the long wait between courses was frustrating. For appetizers, we ordered the cod cakes, salmon tartare, & beet salad. The cod cakes were delicious, crispy, & flavorful, while the beet salad was fresh & delightful. The salmon tartare, however, was missing something-it could have used a bit more acidity or seasoning.
For mains, I ordered the tagliatelle with tomato sauce. Having just returned from Italy, I was looking for a homemade pasta experience, & Max confirmed that this was one of the two in-house pasta options. It did not disappoint-fresh, perfectly cooked, & full of flavor. My husband had the seafood spaghetti, which he enjoyed. However, the time between our appetizers & mains was far too long-so much so that my husband almost canceled the order. While we understand that a relaxed dining experience is part of the charm at some restaurants, this felt excessive.
We ended on a high note with the lemon olive oil cake, which was absolutely delicious-moist, flavorful, & the perfect balance of citrus & richness.
Overall, we had a pleasant evening, but the extremely slow kitchen service took away from the experience. If they can improve on timing, Mundo Trattoria could truly be a fantastic dining spot. Would we return? Maybe-but only if we're not in a hurry.
Amazing experience. The staff was welcoming & the server was very knowledgeable. He recommended us the dish of the evening, which turned out to be done perfectly. I ordered truffle pasta & it was better than any other place I've tried. The desserts are also amazing, I've especially liked the chocolate cake. Will definitely be back ❤️
To be quite honest, the food is usually excellent. I've been eating at Mundo for years. Last night we were a group of 4 & waiting 2 hrs for a mediocre plate of pasta. Not too impressed!

We had a great time at Mundo Trattoria ! Their dishes are very tasty whether it's the pesto gnocchi, or pasta with mushrooms, salmon with veggies , or pasta with tuna :) We loved it & it's a perfect venue for Christmas party with friends & family! Highly recommended
30 minutes passed before my wife had to talk to someone to get some service. Minestrone soup arrived cold. Veal parmigiana was way over cooked with no hint of tomato sauce. Pasta side had barely any sauce & was bland. We were not offered coffee nor dessert. Worst anniversary dinner ever. NEVER going back!
What a lovely meal we had. The service was excellent, the food was delicious, could not have had a better dinner! The calamari melted in the mouth, the specials menu was original & interesting, the pasta perfectly cooked & seasoned, everything was just right. Thank you!

The food & presentation was excellent. We ordered two antipasti platters. Each party had a different dish. My husband was disappointed with the lobster ravioli ( the pasta was too thick) but the meat dishes were beautiful & delicious. Our only negative comment, there was an excellent singer but the music was a bit too loud for a comfortable conversation. We chose Mundo because it was alway quiet & cosy & easy to hear each other. . Like the singer but must be lower volume.
Food, service & entertainment were all excellent. Fish & pasta dishes were all wonderful. Louis provided outstanding service throughout & Tony Zerbino had an amazing voice & sang all our favorites. We were having such a good time that we lingered for over 4 hrs.
I would give it a 4 1/2. I really enjoyed my food from appetizer to dessert. I had the Portobello alla Griglia to start with their homemade gnocchi. Delicious & not heavy. Finished with a berry tart also very good. Everyone love their main meal. A few had the cod & said that it was very good. My friend had The black ink squid pasta & she enjoyed it as well.The issue was one of the appetizers. The Mista Fritti. The vegetables were fried to a crisp & not good at all. When it was mentioned to the waiter he just smiled & left. Since we are not the complaining type nothing further was said. He was a good waiter overall, good conversation & the water was always filled.
Overall I definitely recommend this place & would go again.
