The environment is fairly average & the space feels a bit cramped. However, the service is very warm & welcoming. The beet dish among the appetizers was surprisingly impressive, & the portion sizes were incredibly generous. The beef cheek was very tender & well-cooked, & the desserts were also huge. Guests with smaller appetites may find it difficult to finish their meals, so it's best to consider portion sizes when ordering.
My husband & I called on a Saturday evening & were grateful to get a last-minute dinner reservation at Mundo Trattoria. The ambiance was warm & inviting. The food was good, but unfortunately, the service-specifically from the kitchen-was incredibly slow.
Our server, Max, was great & did his best, but the long wait between courses was frustrating. For appetizers, we ordered the cod cakes, salmon tartare, & beet salad. The cod cakes were delicious, crispy, & flavorful, while the beet salad was fresh & delightful. The salmon tartare, however, was missing something-it could have used a bit more acidity or seasoning.
For mains, I ordered the tagliatelle with tomato sauce. Having just returned from Italy, I was looking for a homemade pasta experience, & Max confirmed that this was one of the two in-house pasta options. It did not disappoint-fresh, perfectly cooked, & full of flavor. My husband had the seafood spaghetti, which he enjoyed. However, the time between our appetizers & mains was far too long-so much so that my husband almost canceled the order. While we understand that a relaxed dining experience is part of the charm at some restaurants, this felt excessive.
We ended on a high note with the lemon olive oil cake, which was absolutely delicious-moist, flavorful, & the perfect balance of citrus & richness.
Overall, we had a pleasant evening, but the extremely slow kitchen service took away from the experience. If they can improve on timing, Mundo Trattoria could truly be a fantastic dining spot. Would we return? Maybe-but only if we're not in a hurry.

We had a very nice evening there on Oct. 5/ 2024. The food was delicious, the service excellent as usual but we found the portions to be a little smaller than when were here last year. Even with appetizers a dessert, a few of us left a little hungry.
This was my first visit to Mundo Trattoria & I will definitely be returning! We were warmly greeted & given a private quiet table. as per my wishes for my friend's 74th birthday dinner. I was impressed with the attention to every single detail. Our waiter Luigi was amazing! The pace of service was perfect. Not rushed, but well timed. The service was choreographed & seamless, with wine, water, warm baked bread, space between appetizer & main course. The food was outstanding! I have never had a more delicious salmon tartare! I tried beef cheeks for the first time & they just melted in my mouth! My friend really enjoyed the lobster ravioli. The space between the main course & dessert was perfect. The tiramisu made in house was deliciously fantastic! I cannot believe on how I have missed out eating at this restaurant before now. I highly recommend & will definitely be returning. My favourite # 1 place to dine out on a special night! Thank you to all the servers & amazing chef, who made my evening out so memorable. Dinner for 2 with two glasses of wine, appetizer shared, 2 main course & dessert, tax & tip included, just under 200$. Worth every single penny! Outstanding!
Highly recommended Italian flare. Loved the beets with goat cheese & pistachios appetizer.
We dined on veal scallopini, salmon & beef cheeks were very tender.
Ambiance was great, service was great. Italian singer on the premises added to the great time we had.
The food was good, I thought the appetizer portions were quite small for the price. Service was so-so. We told the waiter that 4 ( out of 6) of us were celebrating our birthdays, & we were totally ignored. We saw other tables receiving cakes with candles. Our waiter took our coffee/tea order, did not even ask us if we wanted dessert, we had to flag him ( after 20 minutes)& ask him for the dessert menu. Needless to say, none of us celebrating our birthday got any cake or candles.

We all enjoyed our meal. We love your calamari appetizer, which we have ordered several times for takeout. My veal piccata was very good,, the 2 ladies loved their lobster ravioli , & the other guest enjoyed the cod special. My wife & I shared a pear & ricotta cake, light & delicious.. Our overall experience was
an enjoyable evening.
Great food. Amazing service. The waiters are pros. Not students but real carrer waiters who want to make sure you have a special experience. Food is also great. Several notches above the other west island Italian places. You get what you pay for. With appetizer, drinks & main expect to spend 60-80 per person. Feel like a place that us it's usual clientele. It was the second time we sent here & would add it to the list for special occasion place to go. The manager visited our table a few times to see if all was good. I had the 4 jumbo shrimp dish. It was very unique & delicious!! I will get it again.
Wow what a special night we had. We were 8 people celebrating a birthday. Our dinner was fabulous from great appetizers of salad, soup, calamari & eggplant parmigiana to delicious main courses of salmon, cod, rizzoto & amazing veal chop. Manny was fantastic in helping get everyone whatever they needed. The atmosphere was perfect & to our surprise there was even a man walking around & singing everything from Frank Sinatra to the Eagles. People were singing along with him. I would definitely recommend Mundo, we all had an amazing meal 👍👍

I would give it a 4 1/2. I really enjoyed my food from appetizer to dessert. I had the Portobello alla Griglia to start with their homemade gnocchi. Delicious & not heavy. Finished with a berry tart also very good. Everyone love their main meal. A few had the cod & said that it was very good. My friend had The black ink squid pasta & she enjoyed it as well. The issue was one of the appetizers. The Mista Fritti. The vegetables were fried to a crisp & not good at all. When it was mentioned to the waiter he just smiled & left. Since we are not the complaining type nothing further was said. He was a good waiter overall, good conversation & the water was always filled.
Overall I definitely recommend this place & would go again.
