Mundo Trattoria est né d'un rêve partagé par deux familles. Aujourd'hui, l'histoire se poursuit avec Johnny et Julian, des amis de toujours dont les pères ont fondé le restaurant ensemble. Ancrés dans la tradition et animés par la passion, ils ont su préserver l'essence d'une véritable trattoria italienne ici même à Kirkland.
Des pâtes fraîches faites à la main au veau tendre, en passant par les fruits de mer de saison, chaque plat reflète les saveurs de l'Italie et le soin particulier propre à une entreprise familiale. Fort de plus de 10 ans de service et de quatre décennies de tradition culinaire italienne, Mundo Trattoria est bien plus qu'un simple restaurant : c'est un endroit où l'on se sent chez soi.
Les critiques présentent Mundo Trattoria comme une adresse italienne chaleureuse, offrant une nourriture excellente, un service attentif et une ambiance animée adaptée aussi bien aux célébrations qu'aux dîners plus détendus. Leurs portions généreuses et des plats savoureux tels que les tagliatelles et l'osso buco, sans oublier le tiramisu, ainsi qu'une carte des vins bien pensée, sont souvent soulignés, tout comme le cadre accueillant même lorsque le restaurant est bondé. La soirée musicale du vendredi et la capacité du personnel à satisfaire les demandes spéciales contribuent à des expériences mémorables. Certaines remarques évoquent toutefois une salle parfois sombre ou calme et un service un peu lent lors des grandes affluences. Dans l'ensemble, Mundo Trattoria apparaît comme une valeur sûre dans l'ouest de l'île pour des repas réconfortants et une hospitalité chaleureuse.
This is my favourite restaurant! Always excellent in every way. Attention to detail, outstanding. I reserved online. The waiter remembered that I had mentioned, it was in celebration of my daughter in laws birthday. We were seated & greeted in a friendly, but professional manner. We were not rushed, but efficiently taken care of. From the drinks, appetizers, main courses & the surprise birthday dessert, everything was just delicious. We enjoyed the Beet Salad, & Meatball appetizers, Gnocchi Gorgonzola, & a Sausage Pasta main dishes. The cannoli & biscotti for our surprise birthday dessert was divine. I've also had the Beef Cheeks in previous reservations & they were excellent. You simply cannot go wrong with anything you order. Try it all! The complimentary bread with whipped butter, they bring you to start, is OMG so yummy! Each time I go, I order something different. Cannot wait to go back for another special occasion.
Don t know why some people were not satisfied with this restaurant. By far this is one of the best in the west island. This is real food
We had not been for a while & returned last night for our anniversary. The food & the service were truly outstanding. We really enjoyed it. It was a little quiet - mid-summer calm, but it still made for a perfect evening
We celebrated a birthday with a large group & couldn't have asked for a better experience. The food was outstanding, the ambiance warm & inviting, & the service truly exceptional. Mathieu looked after our table with genuine care & attention, making the evening feel seamless & special. A perfect spot for a celebration; highly recommended!
Great place to spend the evening. I love that they add a different twist on Italian dishes & offer you delicious surprise everytime. We are always happy with our meal, service is outstanding. Tony is a blast.
Was there over the weekend to celebrate a wedding of one of my closest friends.
Overall it was a good experience but I do have two complaints.
1- our waiter was cold & unfriendly almost rude tbh. No smiles, just a bitter old man.
2- at one point a few of the staff were sitting together at the table outside the washroom hallway, at this point the grooms best man was delivering a speech only to me interrupted by loud obnoxious laughing from their table. That was uncalled for.
On a positive note the food was delicious…..all of it but especially the braised beef!!!!
The bartender was awesome, super friendly & knew how to crack a joke.
All in all it was a good experience but it should have been an outstanding experience considering it was a closed wedding party.

The food & service was outstanding as always. The restaurant is due for a bit of a makeover. It was a wonderful touch to have a live singer to entertain while we ate.
Mundo has become one of our favourites. The food is outstanding, & the service is very attentive without being overwhelming. Thank you so much to Manny, John, Paolo & all the others who make dining there such a great experience.

Food, service & entertainment were all excellent. Fish & pasta dishes were all wonderful. Louis provided outstanding service throughout & Tony Zerbino had an amazing voice & sang all our favorites. We were having such a good time that we lingered for over 4 hrs.
