We went on a Saturday for lunch, we had live jazz, amazing French food, great wine selection & amazing drinks! It is my go-to place in Montreal! I love Modavie!

Anytime we're in Montreal we visit this place. I love live music & the atmosphere. We had a table right by the music band, it was loud but we came to listen to the band! Other rooms are less loud.

The food was impressive! Duck, lamb. However a bit over salted in my opinion.
My daughter had a nice birthday cake for her birthday 🎈

We had a lovely lunch here. The atmosphere was wonderful, & the live jazz music made the experience very enjoyable. The service was friendly, & the presentation of the dishes was beautiful.

We tried several dishes so we could share & compare. The shrimp was probably our favorite. The garlic snails were okay, but not especially memorable.

A small suggestion for future guests: the house salad comes with quite a generous amount of dressing, so if you prefer a lighter flavor, you may want to ask for the dressing on the side. I also ordered the duck breast. It was cooked nicely, but I personally found it a little rich because of the duck fat, the sweet berry sauce, & the mashed potatoes together. If you prefer lighter dishes, the seafood options might be a better choice.

Overall, we still enjoyed our visit & would happily come back to try other dishes.

Great Lunch for my birthday.
This is my go to restaurant for special occasions, unfortunately we couldn't go for the live music which is in the evenings or weekends, but we had a great time, & a great meal regardless
Lorenzo was welcoming, not only to me , but to my wife, & my kids. So was William, our waiter, & Charles who was just getting ready to play some jazz in the evening. Lorenzo even sang me happy birthday 😀.
100% recommended, we will be back.

Came in for dinner & they had a live jazz band! Food was great! It took a while for food to come but it was worth it. Service was great too, staff were attentive & pleasant. Would recommend getting a reservation, place was packed!

Food is consistently good. Service is also very good considering how busy they can get. They have live jazz music upstairs & downstairs which i think is a plus. They do have a bar section on the ground floor if you prefer to avoid the larger rooms with live music

Modavie is the perfect place for dinner in Montreal. The live jazz creates a wonderful atmosphere, making the experience truly special. The highlight of the meal was the rack of lamb-it was perfectly cooked, tender, & full of flavor. I highly recommend Modavie for anyone looking for great food, live music, & an unforgettable dining experience.

What a special dinner to celebrate our anniversary! Really enjoyed the jazz tonight; my salmon dinner & husband's rack of lamb were delicious. The escargot were also delicious!! thanks to Tyler our wonderful warm, attentive server, who really made this dinner even more special! Very genuine & obviously loves what he does!!! Merci Beaucoup !!!
