The Duck Confit, Modavie Poutine & Lamb cavatell was our favorite dishes. The service is very attentive & despite how busy the restaurant is, the wait was very reasonable.
Had a great lunch at Modavie in Montreal. The poutine was surprisingly one of the best we had during the trip, definitely worth trying. We also ordered the lamb pasta & the duck confit - both were absolutely delicious, especially the duck, which was tender & full of flavor.
The atmosphere was cozy & lively with great music, & the location in Old Montreal is perfect for walking around before or after dinner. The only downside is that parking nearby can be a bit difficult. Overall, highly recommend!

Very good French food, the dessert was especially excellent. Large selection of nonalcoholic drinks including a nonalcoholic wine which was delicious. Excellent atmosphere, we had jazz live music - excellent overall experience
People outside recommended this place to us while we were looking at the menu & it did not disappoint. Lorenzo was so accommodating & personable to our walk-in group, shifting around things to fit us comfortably & checking in on us intermittently. Dimitri was a friendly server who made the best drinks. Food & drinks were fantastic; ambience was beautiful. I feel like this restaurant is a hidden gem. Highly recommend!
Absolutely fantastic food, service & ambience. Highly recommend the lamb, risotto & creme brûlée. Our server, George, was attentive & took time to discuss the menu with us. Overall a fabulous experience, we be back & will recommend to our friends.
Visiting from the US - came across this restaurant on Open Table & made a reservation. Great food & service. Live music & conversation with all the tables can make talking to your party challenging but worth the visit.

We came here 3 years ago as a local recommended Modavie for their french onion soup that I was so hungry for. It was a great exprience then. We found ourselves back in Montreal & there was no quesion where we wanted to go for our nice meal. Everything was superb! The lamb chops were exceptional!! Service was quick but not rushed. Our server, Patrice, was amazing as well & very well, but not overly attentive. Looking forward to coming back again!
One of the best restaurants if not THE best in Montreal. Which is saying a lot. Incredible people, incredible environment. Tres Bien. I recommend getting a reservation as it fills up quickly.
Food at Modavie is just mediocre, definitely nothing special or above the rest & should be priced accordingly, it's pricey for the quality that you get.
Atmosphere is nice, it is a nice place to dine in, & service is also very good.
Bottom line is the food is nothing special whatsoever, so I wouldn't recommend this restaurant, there are far better options in Old Montreal.
We walked in & were greeted by Lorenzo. I call him out because he was very welcoming & quite funny (& not in a smarmy kind of way). The service from the other staff was very good as well. Food was excellent. Lunch price for the tasting menu was very reasonable. We had a nice table by the window. Highly recommended.
The duck confit was great! Deceptive portion - it looks small, but it is really filling. Our server was really nice too. The live Jazz band was a nice touch.
Excellent experience, server was knowledgeable & friendly. We tried a number of things on the menu, mussels, snails, salmon tartare... All were incredible!

Wonderful restaurant with live music & serving classic French cuisine. Great atmosphere on second floor. Was given a fantastic table close to live music performance. Attendant was ok, nothing extraordinary but provided decent polite service. Food was quite good, especially the onion soup which was not salty & seasoned perfectly with savory & sweetness balanced nicely with hint of wine flavourful in the broth. Rack of lamb was cooked to perfection however the rack portion could have been better cut up & presented though, it was a tad lazy to serve up two giant racks with other rack bones partial in together, when compare to others having same dish at other tables. Scallops were cooked right but sauce was too salty for my preference. Salad was amazingly fresh & crisp. Overall good food good vibe good value.
my boyfriend & I went here tonight for his birthday & the food was AMAZING! the rack of lamb & the potatoes it comes with were 10/10. our waitress was so nice & gave amazing recommendations. will definitely be back
