Memento Bar is a true gem in Montreal-warm, intimate, & full of character. The atmosphere alone makes it special, but what really elevates the experience is the incredible team behind it.
George, the barman, is a standout. His cocktails are easily among the best in the city - perfectly balanced, creative, & crafted with real expertise. Whether you order a classic or ask for something custom, he absolutely delivers.
The food is just as impressive. Oleksandr's authentic Ukrainian borsch is outstanding - rich, comforting, & deeply flavorful. It's the real thing, made with tradition & heart, & it leaves a lasting impression.
On top of all that, the entire staff is exceptionally professional, friendly, & welcoming. You genuinely feel taken care of from the moment you walk in. Memento Bar isn't just a place to have a drink-it's an experience built on passion, skill, & great hospitality. Highly recommended. 🍸🍲

One of my favorite bars currently in Montreal to hang out & grab a drink. The atmosphere is really nice, the beers amazing & a huge bonus with the table tennis.

Je vais 2-3 fois par saison au memento. je n'ai jamais écrit de review car j'y vais souvent l'après-midi dans la semaine au moment où c'est hyper tranquille.
mais cette fois-ci on était 8 à l'heure de pointe, un vendredi. bondé de clients à l'intérieur & à l'extérieur du bar.
notre serveur ( cheveux blond avec un certain accent - c'est seulement pour replacer c'était qui notre serveur, vu qu'on ne connaissait pas son nom) était hyper efficace & toujours à l'affût quand il nous manquait de quoi. on ne commandait jamais en même temps les 8 & il n'y avait jamais eu d'erreur dans la réception de nos bièere & bouffe.
il avait d'l'air très organisé & en contrôle comparé d'autres employé.

Great atmosphere, good beers & well-located bar. Only disappointment was the pita that came with the hummus. The pita given is not enough to finish the hummus, so I asked for a second order of pita. The waiter informed me it would be an extra 2.50$. Though I'm slightly annoyed to have to pay extra for such a small portion of pita (about 8 mini slices), what annoyed me even more was the fact that the pita of my second order was BURNED...still ate it because I was hungry & the waiter didn't come back for a while. Basically avoid ordering food here, come for the beers & vibes.
Bar Momento has such a beautiful patio, perfect to enjoy in the afternoon or on lively weekend nights. Inside, there are lots of fun games that make the place even more enjoyable. The vibe is always great, & the servers are super friendly & really cute - they make the whole experience feel extra fun & welcoming.

Super cool bar/restaurant/hangout spot with darts, ping pong, boardgames, live music nights, tasty burgers, friendly service, nice ambiance & ample seating both indoor & out.. what else do you need :)

Came back recently, found this nasty thing (picture attached) in my hummus, got the hummus for free, which felt like the bare minimum. Staff kind of treated it like this was normal

Super cool venue, very spacious & in a nice location that's easy to get to. They were doing a BBQ out back when I came, & i just missed the last serving of it, but looking forward to coming back again soon!
For a Friday night they seemed to be very understaffed. We arrived at 10:30pm & every table was dirty, old food, dirty dishes. Only one bartender upstairs & one downstairs with about a 25 min wait for a drink.

It's been a mixed bag at this establishment for me, leaning toward the negative. Being somewhat of a nerd, though less the consumerist Star Wars kind, who lives a 15 minute walk away, I was intrigued by a place that seemed to cater to gaming nerds & perhaps weird people who liked quality microbrewed beer & so forth. I had a lovely date night there once. I also was turned away for having a baby once, turned away because the place was rented out for a corporate event once with no notice online or outside signage etc., &, recently, kicked out due to the place being rented for another corporate event (although I knew I would be -- though it took 2 weeks of waiting for replies by phone, email, or Facebook text to find out. When I finally got a reply, the person replying was professional). This time, my group had a lovely experience overall, but that was mostly due to us trying to have fun, & the experience could have been much better. One of the serving staff, a woman with dark hair & small tattoos, was quite rude to a number of us, telling one of us she couldn't come in even though the corporate event didn't start for another 1.5 hours, & when several of us tried to talk to her she was rude & unfriendly with us. I got the impression we were not welcome & that she was mad we were there, perhaps due to communication issues between staff... The gentleman at the bar in the blue shirt was nice, accommodating & honest -- though he did say we would have to leave by 6:00 - 6:30 instead of the previously mentioned 5:30 or 6:00 which I communicated to my group, only to have another server clap his hands at our group & tell us to leave at 6 -- again, unclear communication, shoddy service in terms of this other staff member, & the feeling of being unwelcome.
Anyway, I think Memento is a cool place with lots of elements in place to be great, but it kind of has a hollow core somewhat reflective of the surrounding condo developments, where I've never really felt welcome & there is much to work on in terms of communication, updating websites & pages, service quality & so on -- especially when paying $13 something (tax, minimum suggested tip) for a'pint' of beer. I think Memento should decide who their clients are: corporate people with lots of money, relatively-wealthy condo people, tourists, or regular people/everyone, & be more honest & better at communicating this overall, as well as work on the various problems they have while allowing their good qualities to shine. **I did not have food this time, but the one time I did I found it tasty if a bit small on portion size for the price.
Awesome bar to hang out for hours & have fun with friends. They have a good selection of microbrew beets to try out & tons of interesting games, from giant Jenga, to ping pong, air hockey, arcade games & more! The vibe is also fun with different sections that have different feelings.
Microbrasserie branchée aux abords du canal qui offre une très belle vue sur le centre-ville.
Super bon choix de bières brassées sur place & un menu nourriture de style pub mais avec une très belle touche familiale.
Pour ceux qui n'aiment pas la bière, un immense bar est disponible & des consommations sans alcool très goûteuses également.
J'ai pris le burger Mémento! & il était vraiment bon. Les frites assaisonnées avec la mayo spéciale c'est un must. Mes amies ont pris des grilled cheese dont un vraiment original avec du fromage en grain & une sauce aux oignons verts.
Excellent service courtois & rapide. Le seul petit hic est qu'un vendredi soir, c'est très plein & très bruyant mais cela n'enlève rien à l'expérience. Décor vraiment fabuleux!
