Méchant Boeuf is a steakhouse situated in Old Montreal, serving prime quality butcher cuts, dry-aged beef and mouth watering seafood.

For over 20 years, Méchant Boeuf has perfected the art of the grill, resulting in proper aging, skillful seasoning, and expert cooking techniques. In town for the 4 Nations tournament & happened to be staying at the Hotel Nelligan. We stopped in at the Mechant Boeuf for a late dinner. Valter took care of us & was an outstanding server. We had great conversation with him while enjoying a fantastic dinner. Thank you Valter! We will be back.

We had an exceptional dining experience at this restaurant! The service exceeded our expectations-attentive yet not intrusive from our waiter Valter! The food was incredible, with the steak cooked to perfection at the ideal doneness. Everything came out at just the right time, & the flavors were spot-on. We popped into Old Montreal for New Year's Eve & had the best time at Hotel Nelligan & specifically Mechant Boeuf. The sweetest gal greeted us as the most assertive & helpful hostess. It was so obvious she was committed to seating us promptly. Because we had a slight wait, she sent bubbles to the table. We watched her serve the restaurant in any capacity, attending to tables with drink service & a smile. Our waiter, Valter, was efficient & patient with a very difficult table next to us, & we noticed many pleased patrons under his service. Absolutely top notch service from entry to exit!! We will be back!
