Snacked on the crudo off the late night menu & had cocktails made to order. Going back for dinner 100%
Limited seating makes reservations a good idea. The vibe leans more to a bar feel, & it is a little noisy. Wide selection of drinks. The food is excellent. I had the mushroom fettuccine, & my companion had the spaghetti bolognese. The staff is bilingual, & the service is very good. I will return anytime I am in town.
Wife & I ate at the bar. Service was great, food was amazing, & they played my hip hop beats. We will be back next time we visit Montreal & also try the cafe next door.
Absolutely insane food. Everything was so good, service was fast, & I loved the open kitchen concept by the bar so you can watch the chefs cook! The menu is just right-not too many options so as to be overwhelmed, but every dish had its own spin, be it a unique pasta shape or an unexpected flavor profile. We had the burrata with focaccia (10/10), the bolognese, & one of the pesto pasta dishes. The dessert menu was excellent as well, which is not always the case for dinner establishments-we thoroughly enjoyed the pistachio coffee cake & tiramisu with a bit of an orange zest kick. Servers were prompt & friendly.
Restaurant was mediocre. Apparently all tables only by reservations, however it wasn't that full on a Saturday night & we got seated at the bar. Had antipasti, olives, Caesar salad, swordfish & pesto pasta. Sitting on the bar allowed us to see how the food was cooked & at some point I wish I didn't see it. There was 0 passion in the cooking, food was pretty much tossed around, hands were going in all kinds of containers even the ones that had spoons in them, honestly it was awful to witness. Everything is basically showered in olive oil. Olives were dry & old. Caesar salad didn't have Caesar sauce, it didn't taste like Caesar sauce at all. Swordfish for $36 wasn't fresh & cooked questionably. The pesto pasta was alright, nothing phenomenal. (I'm surprised the reviews are so amazing) The servers were nice though. All around the food was nothing special, the vibe was nice to suggest it's a good restaurant, however after seeing how the food was prepared & tasting it, I can't even give 3 stars.
Thomas & Adam made our night! We were sat right in front of the dessert bar, got to enjoy the views of food being prepped & made. The manager was also very friendly. Overall the food & the atmosphere was impeccable! Definitely get the bolognese or pesto pasta!
Nice vibe. We sat at the bar which had a view of the kitchen which was cool. The menu is very limited but they're good at what they do.
Mano Cornuto was recommended by a friend of mine, & I'm so thankful that he showed it to me! The place is actually quite unassuming, & I've passed by it multiple times. Who knew I walked past such a great place? The food was absolutely delicious. We "licked our plates clean" with their in-house focaccia & took even the smallest bites home in order to savor the moment just a little bit longer. The staff were friendly & took care of us despite it being close to closing time. The atmosphere was like an elevated outdoor bar. I'm sure this place is very popular in the summer. We unfortunately missed out on their fresh tuna dish this time, but I'm looking forward to coming back in the near future.
It's safer to make a reservation before you go. We went for lunch & was seated right away. It wasn't busy at 11:30am which we really liked. We were sat at the bar coz we were two people. We ordered their famous pistachio burrata & it was fantastic!! Burrata was so moist & soft but a bit chewy as well👍🏼 the artichoke pistachio pesto was amazing too. Focaccia that came with the burrata was really good too. Next, the classico sandwich was delicious too with sweet honey & some cream that was soo goood. Nothing bad about it! It was a great choice. However the basil pesto pasta was a bit of disappointment. My husband liked it but it was too salty or should i say i felt like drinking pickle juice. My tongue felt like covered in vinegar & salt. But it was the lemon in the pesto. I couldnt continue eating more than 3 forks. Last, we got their tiramisu & the lemon jest on top added an excellent taste to the dessert. Loved it! (We were just tooooo full to fully enjoy the tiramisu tho. *sad*) Overall, their oj, macchiato, food, everything was great! Will be back again🩷
DELICIOUS little Italian restaurant. We were sat at the bar section & ordered a few plates to share. SO much flavour & such quality ingredients in each plate! I highly recommend reserving a table in advance as its small & gets packed really quick MUST order the piatto antipasto charcuterie board & their burrata (forgot to take a photo unfortunately). Their Caesar salad is so unique but a tad sweet for my liking, & finally the tonnarelli al pesto, so much great flavour for such a simple dish. We ended our meal with a delicious cappuccino & a heavenly lemon cheesecake (their dessert options change often I believe)
Delicious Italian food! Always enjoy visiting here; however, it's hard to get a table & most seating is bar seating. But it's still worth it to grab a quick dinner. The cesear salad & pesto pasta are incredible...
As always, the food was amazing, the music playlist was perfect & the drinks were unique. We sat at the bar & the service that Elisa gave us was impeccable!
Food is amazing but there's not many tables. Even with a reservation we were forced to sit at the bar.
Lived right next door to this restaurant when I lived in Montreal in 2022. Hands-down one of the best eateries in the city — & it seems that reputation’s well-carried, as it’s often quite busy in the later hours, so best make sure you get there early! Wonderful servers & bartenders, excellent kitchen staff making fresh food in front of your eyes if you’re lucky enough to sit at the bar, delightful outdoor seating during the spring, summer, & early autumn months, & bar-none some of the most delicious Italian fare I’ve had the pleasure of eating. I may be back home in NYC, but god, I miss Mano Cornuto.
