The croissant was excellent but the smashed croissant filled with chocolate was unbelievable, if you like chocolate croissants. Picked up a sandwich for the train I can't wait to eat.
Self-checkout 2025: interesting concept. Liked my blueberry tart & my friend's almond chocolatine.
Takeout 2020: Pleasant service, good selection of delicious pastries
Dine in 2023: they have a seating area upstairs I never noticed before that's actually cute. Really should advertise it more. Had the quiche lorraine & the blue cheese walnut baguette which were delicious with a chai latte. My friend's tuna quiche wasn't the best though.

I've been to other Mamie Clafoutis locations, but this one stands out for its cool concept & design. The pastries are just as good as elsewhere-but the kouign-amann here? Wow. Easily the best bite of pastry I've ever had.
Rich, buttery, with a crispy exterior & pillowy laminated layers, with roasted candied hazelnuts added in that took it completely over the top. Absolute must-try.

Bien loin de ce qui m'a fait aimer mes premiers achats chez Mamie Clafoutis. Je termine à l'instant mon flan qui a le goût de la dépression. La brioche pépites de chocolat avait un petit goût de rance.
Went there today with my mom she picked a croissant & we asked if they could warm it up. After they did, my mom changed her mind & wanted a different one (we hadn't paid yet). The girl helping us was super sweet & willing to make the switch, but she asked another staff member (maybe someone in charge?) & she said no.
What really bothered me was that she started speaking in French assuming I couldn't understand !!! not cool. Just because someone doesn't look like they speak French doesn't mean they don't! unprofessional attitude from her.

Unique pastries, custards & baked goods are a hallmark of this restaurant! The self-serve concept could definitely feel a bit impersonal, however the staff are very friendly & always happy to help with your order. You can warm up your breads on-site as well - the breads are baked fresh. The espresso drinks aren't bad either. Worth stopping by to try if you're in the area!
The Bread is always great, this is not the problem. It is not the same place since the renovation. No panache, no atmosphere, cramped tables with products being sold on them as you drink your coffee, plus my bread wasn't sliced properly & was all broken. The love is gone!
I love this place, living in Montreal it is my to go place for breakfast & a late coffee , the Oh Mon Dieu croissant is the best of the world. This is an iconic place that represents the great food & nice vibrant environment in Montreal.

J'adore cet endroit. Habitant à Montréal, c'est mon boulangerie préféré pour le petit-déjeuner & un café tardif. Le croissant Oh Mon Dieu est le meilleur au monde. C'est un lieu emblématique qui représente la bonne cuisine & le dynamisme de Montréal.
Revision 2025 sans changement. Très petit point de service. Rénové. Pour les sandwich, c'est à éviter. Petit, cher & vide. Idem pour les salades prêts à manger. Les pains sont ok sans plus.
