We had such a wonderful experience at Mama C.
Everything was absolutely perfect - from the beautifully designed interior to the warm, inviting ambience. The food was exceptional, with every dish thoughtfully prepared & full of flavor.
It was lunch time, I can imagine experience at brunch or dinner..
A special mention to the Chloe, who was incredibly attentive. We were in hurry so Chloe made me extra complimentary tea to take away. These small details make service feel exceptional .
I repeat: Montréal has many many restaurants but only few you can really call places with excellent service, food & ambiance.
I recently visited Mama C Restaurant with my sister & brother-in-law.The restaurant itself is beautiful & has such a nice atmosphere. The food wasreally great & everything we had was delicious.
Our waitress Clara was amazing - super friendly, attentive, & she really made us feel at home from the moment we sat down. She checked in at the right times, had a great attitude, & made the whole experience even better.
The food & the place were great, but Clara's service really stood out.
We'll definitely be back

Decent greek food. Some items amazing while others left much to be desired.
Plating & service was as to be expected when good, clumsy when bad (ie. assistant server injecting himself into a wine selection presentation & tasting, dropping off a dish missing plates & ultimately breaking the flow of said presentation).
Certain dishes seemed to be a bit lukewarm for what they warranted, while others extremely hot, some arriving nearly instantly, while others arriving after significant waiting, & some exciting & flavourful (pita & dip, sashimi were great, octopus although cold was also quite nice) while others shockingly bland (the moussaka here is a dish served in a shallow au gratin-style pan & tastes only of béchamel sauce, salted meat, & eggplant, rather than being the vibrant, well-plated, & warmly spiced dish it is meant to be, & in complete honesty the greek salad legitimately could have been from a grocery store carton if you had me blindfolded - a slog to finish). Overall an inconsistent menu, from my selections at least.
Had Theo C as a server who was great throughout the meal with wine pairings, conversations, & a shooter for the occasion, however at the end of the meal, payment & tip as well as an exchange of names & handshakes were immediately followed up with the presentation of a business card & branded postcard with a request for a'good google rating' in his name'so he can get a free meal' - something so comically cheap that one wonders where the hell they have even just eaten, a ludicrously tasteless conclusion to what would otherwise be simply a passably mediocre experience. Perhaps the staff were trained by Uber drivers.
Interior design as others have stated is of course beautiful as one would expect at this price point, but given that a restaurant is in need of an interior in order to begin operation, it does not influence my review of the actual operating dining experience.
Overall sentiment is that the restaurant needs to decide what it wants to be: a great greek space that creates genuine, meaningful experiences & promotes an authentic desire to spread good word & return, or a cheap old port tourist trap. I think the area is in more need of something aligning with the former.
Very excited to try this restaurant as we were told that the food was amazing & everyone was raving about it.

Decor was beautiful, chill with a tint of luxury. Did love the waiter's uniform. Changed from the regular black we see in all other restaurants.

The food was DELICIOUS. Honestly everything we ordered tasted so good & was so fresh. The grilled octopus HIT the spot, the free range chicken was juicy & so tasty & the lamb… listen, you just gotta go & try it for yoursel!! ⭐?⭐?⭐?
SERVICE 9'5/10
I only took out 0.5 because it seems that it was a busy night & our server was responsible for multiple tables which sometimes caused longer wait times for us to get his attention but that's not something YLIAN could control. He was wonderful from beginning to end, really chill vibe & demeanor & making sure he wasn't hovering over us. We did get a chance to have a nice conversation with him at the end of the night & he is a lovely young man! Wishing him the best in his future plans.
VALET 5/10
We found a parking when we arrived on the next street but used the valet service to make sure the car would be moved to the front of the restaurant whenever possible. It wasn't so we essentially paid to have our car parked where we left it the whole night & brought to us at the end of the night - we could have walked. 😅
All in all, I would go back cause I want to try everything on the menu!
Six of us went for dinner on New Year's Day while on a quick trip from Toronto. We already had high expectations for this restaurant, but it completely exceeded them. Nicki was an exceptional server & struck the perfect balance of attentiveness, personality, & professionalism. He walked us through the menu, helped curate our experience, & offered spot on recommendations. Honestly, Nicki's service alone is reason enough to visit.
The food was flavourful, fresh, & beautifully balanced with comforting, familiar flavours & modern twists. It more than lived up to the menu descriptions & beyond. This will absolutely be a must visit spot anytime we are in Montreal.
Thank you Nicki for ending our trip on such a high & bringing so many laughs to our dinner!!

Amazing experience at Mama C Restaurant!
The space is beautiful & very welcoming, & the food & coffee were really good. We had a great time there with my parents who were visiting from Mexico.
Basil, our server, was very friendly & attentive. He took the time to explain the dishes in spanish to my family-especially my parents, who don't speak any English-& his recommendations were excellent. That made the whole experience feel relaxed & enjoyable.
My brother & I own a Mexican café in downtown Toronto, so we truly appreciate good food & genuine hospitality. I'd definitely recommend this place if you're visiting the area.
Absolutely beautiful restaurant, attentive service. Found the portions to be quite small for the price point but can't say I'm surprised as its old port classy.
Dined here for a family night out & the food, service & ambience was impeccable. Basil was our waiter & he was kind & attentive. The rest of the staff was also great. But most importantly the food was absolutely delicious!!!! Beautiful place & location 100% recommend
A very elegant & beautiful restaurant. The ambience is very romantic & no pictures do it justice. The food itself is unforgettable, I felt like Remy from Ratatouille when he was tasting the cheese & strawberry. Every bite was a bliss to my taste buds. Our waiter was fantastic, very knowledgeable about the menu & gave us the perfect recommendations. Our personal favourite was the octopus appetizer. The waiters' service was very professional & attentive & engaging. Our glasses were never empty & our finished plates never lingered on our table.
My only regret is the coat service. Unfortunately, my partner's coat was dragged on the floor twice, & it was pretty upsetting to see. I don't believe it was done on purpose, but it was unexpected for such a high end restaurant. Otherwise, the young ladies at the reception were more than delightful & welcoming. They also answer the phone very quickly & are very helpful with any questions or requests.
The bathrooms are clean & gender neutral, so don't feel lost when you can't find the gendered bathroom signs. The entrance to the restaurant is through the Mama C café, there's a nice waiting area decorated by cozy couches & warm dimmed lights.
Overall, the experience was unforgettable & we have already recommended the restaurant to everyone we know. I can't wait to return. The presentation & flavors were exceptional - culinary artistry at its finest. My sincere compliments to the chef.

I had a fantastic experience at this restaurant! The food was absolutely delicious - every dish was fresh, flavorful, & beautifully presented. The ambience was warm & inviting, making it a perfect place to relax & enjoy a great meal.
A special shoutout to our server, Chloe, who made the experience even better. She was friendly, attentive, & very professional throughout our visit. Her service truly elevated our dining experience.

I honestly don't understand why this place is only rated 4.4 as it deserves so much higher! I'll admit, I was hesitant to come after reading some of the reviews, but I'm so glad I did. I brought a client here, & we ended up ordering almost everything on the menu - every single dish was outstanding.
The octopus was perfectly seasoned & juicy, the moussaka was beautifully done, the Greek salad was fresh, & even the beef mignon was incredibly tender. The service, staff, decor, & ambiance were all impeccable.
I'll definitely be coming back with friends & clients alike. If you're reading this, don't let the online rating fool you, go try it for yourself. You won't be disappointed!
Group of 7 people. Thursday evening. No problem, reserved tables a day before the meeting. Work colleagues came... No show-off. Just relax, talk. Timely, unobtrusive service. We didn't take 200 photos of the dishes in all poses, waiting for the food to cool down. Just enjoy. Beautiful interior, a little noisy - & this is a great sign of the popularity of the establishment. The dishes are not complicated, but most of them are very tasty & on time. We ordered cocktails that are not on the menu - they made them & brought them without any problems!! Great evening! Will we come back - of course we will!

We had a lovely lunch at Mama C that turned into a truly memorable experience. Every dish was a pure delight, beautifully presented, full of flavor, & clearly crafted with care. The culinary creativity & attention to detail made the meal feel special from start to finish.
However, the service was slower than expected, especially given that the restaurant wasn't busy at the time. Prices were on the higher side, which made the pace of service feel a bit mismatched with the overall experience.
Still, Mama C delivers on taste & ambiance, & we'd happily return for another indulgent meal.
Food was excellent. We ordered the shrimp & lamb as mains & they were both flavourful. The service was very friendly & attentive. The restaurant is beautiful right in the heart of old Montreal. A great date night.
We had a marvellous time , lazily lunching two days ago. C'etait tres bon!! Our server, Melissa, was'parfait'!! Attentive, kind & knowledgeable, appearing unobtrusively & with many suggestions when asked. It was a beautiful way to start our visit in Montréal. The food was delicious, perfectly portioned & presented well.
