We had an amazing wedding anniversary dinner experience last night! Every dish Nikita recommended was absolutely superb, beautifully prepared, full of flavor, & exceeded our expectations. Nikita's knowledge & recommendations made the evening even more special, & the service was warm, attentive, & welcoming throughout. We left impressed & already looking forward to our next visit. Highly recommend trusting Nikita's suggestions-you won't be disappointed!
Mama C keeps getting better, & their pasta is straight?up top notch. I've only got good things to say. I had an amazing time, the food was amazing (especially that pasta), the service was super friendly, & the place is beautiful.Just an all?around great spot I'd go back to anytime.

If your goal for a celebratory dinner is to leave hungrier than when you arrived, this is your spot. We hit this place up for Father's Day & left completely starving. It's an incredibly expensive establishment that treats food like it's coming out of a rationing camp.
The breakdown of a genuinely frustrating meal:
The Sea Bream Fish: So malnourished it was practically a garnish.
The Lamb Chops: Thick with unrendered fat, & the kitchen didn't even bother asking for a temperature preference.
The Chicken Sandwich: A total mystery meat situation. Didn't look, texture, or taste like chicken. It tasted like stringy boiled fish.
The Lone Survivor: The French toast was actually great-but a single slice of bread shouldn't have to carry a three-figure bill.
The Verdict: The interior design is gorgeous & highly Instagrammable, but you can't eat the wallpaper. Factor in a nightmare parking situation & microscopic portions, & the math just doesn't add up. Skip the hype; it's a hard pass.
We had an amazing experience at Mama C! We chose the tasting menu at $125 per person for our group of five, & it did not disappoint. There was more than enough food-we could barely finish it all! Every dish was delicious & beautifully presented. The service was impeccable, & the staff made the evening feel special from start to finish. The cocktails were also excellent & expertly crafted. We highly recommend Mama C & will definitely be back!
We were there on a Monday at 7 PM, a table of 3 at the bar. The night started well with great drinks & a very pleasant bartender. The restaurant has a beautiful décor &, for once, I could read the menu without my phone's flashlight. We asked for recommendations to share & ordered a total of 6 plates: 3 appetizers & 3 main courses. The waitress asked us if we wanted the appetizers first or everything at the same time, & we answered that whatever was easiest for her was fine. We got our appetizers & they were great. We even ordered a second round of drinks because we were enjoying the ambiance.
Unfortunately, after that second round of drinks, the service disappeared. We waited for nearly 1.5 hours. We saw two rounds of clients at the bar get their drinks, food, desserts, & bills before we even got our main courses. To top it off, we were offered the dessert menu before getting our actual food. When we asked the bartender to check on our order, we found out the second course was just never sent to the kitchen. We understand mistakes happen, but for a meal where each of us paid $150+, it is completely unacceptable
Nevertheless I had a great time because I was in great company.

Had such an amazing experience at this Greek restaurant. The sea bass was incredible, so fresh & full of flavor. Every dish we tried was delicious & beautifully presented. Highly recommend!
The atmosphere is beautiful, but unfortunately the service completely ruined the experience for me.
From the beginning, the server was unusually pushy & made multiple unnecessary comments throughout the evening that made me genuinely uncomfortable. I had clearly explained that I was on a calorie deficit & asked what lighter options he would recommend. After recommending a few dishes himself, he still continued insisting that what we ordered was'only appetizers' & repeatedly pushed for more food, even after it was obvious we were satisfied with what we had ordered.
What made the experience worse was the attitude behind the comments. There was a very condescending & mocking tone throughout the interaction, especially regarding my food & drink choices. Instead of simply taking the order & letting guests enjoy their evening, there were repeated remarks & expressions that felt judgmental & intrusive.
A server should never make guests feel embarrassed or self-conscious about what they choose to eat or not eat. Whether a table orders a full dinner or just a few dishes & drinks should not affect the quality of the service or the way guests are treated.
The food itself was fine, although the grilled calamari arrived cold. But overall, the lack of tact & professionalism from the service left a really unpleasant impression.
Hands down a great experience!! From the fresh fish to the delightful service. A gem in old Montreal. Beautiful decor & very airy! Cozy indeed whether you go as a group or a couple. Thank you
Beautiful classic bar with verry well executed cocktails...go for a drink for sure & if you speak to your serving staff you will get great local recommendations
