The cafe itself is cute & the selection of cookies looked really interesting, but compared to some of the other cafes in Montreal, it definitely falls a little short.
Originally intended to go here for the hot chocolate, but ended up getting a cloud latte. The coffee itself is not bitter, but it was overly milky & the fluff is so sweet that most of the drink is just marshmallow. It's served in a tall glas cup with a handle which while aesthetic, does not yield to a good drinking experience. The latte was also decently expensive.
Unfortunately the Montreal coffee scene is too competitive to warrant another trip here.
I've only tried the matcha & a cookie from here twice & both were fine?
I wish the matcha was a little higher grade & I find their syrups are lacking a bit of flavour however the service here has been consistently wonderful! The staff are friendly & the cafe itself is super cute.
Will definitely be trying some of their other drinks (lavendar lemonade & cloud drinks) as they look really good.

N'hésitez pas à y aller pour prendre un petit gouter sympa dans un endroit cosy ! Mention spéciale à leur cookie signature au café & leur matcha à la lavande : des saveurs uniques & réconfortantes !
Musique d'ascenseur, décors pinterest version wish. J'ai payé vingt piasses pour un biscuit mauve qui goûtait le biscuit beige pis deux cafés glacés qui s'apparentaient plutôt à des verres de lait un peu foncés.
It is a shame that this place cannot just be a cafe, one that welcomes all people. They literally have a sign in the window saying that people of certain religious & political views are not welcome inside. In this day & age, this is disgraceful. It was also ironic to see employees using products of a country they claim to be boycotting.

Un grand faible pour le café avec la meringue, c'est une folie!
My partner & I were waiting for this cafe to open for 30 minutes past 10:30AM on a Monday. We tried calling a few times after their supposed opening hours (because maybe their hours changed) & there was an employee inside, but she didn't pick up. We called as we watched her from outside & it was funny seeing her ignore the calls, though. I get it, it was a random Monday.
Needless to say, they did not open for a while & we went to another cafe since we had places to be.
I'm really disappointed. I arrived at 6:15 pm , a full 15 minutes before the posted 6:30 closing time, & the barista refused to serve me, saying everything was already cleaned. The attitude was rude, & it makes no sense for a café to turn away customers before closing. I drove specifically to come here, only to be dismissed at the door. If they plan to stop serving early, they should update their hours or treat customers respectfully.
Maison Sauvage est une superbe découverte ! Le café propose des cookies délicieux, des boissons vraiment réconfortantes & une ambiance chaleureuse qui donne envie de revenir.
Un immense merci à la barista, une jeune femme à la chevelure rousse magnifique, qui a été d'une gentillesse incroyable. Douce, souriante & pleine de bons conseils, elle a rendu l'expérience encore plus agréable. Même sans connaître son nom, je tiens à souligner la qualité de son accueil.
Le seul petit bémol serait peut-être la taille de la salle, qui est un peu petite, mais l'ambiance cosy compense largement & qu'il n'est pas dans le centre ville.
Je recommande vraiment cet endroit pour une pause gourmande & conviviale. Une très belle adresse à Montréal !

I've visited here a few times over the past couple of months to give it an honest shot because it looks cute, but the service is consistently terrible. The baristas won't acknowledge you at all, & the drinks I've had were bad (matcha lemonade was awful). Pretty hard to beat the consistently excellent service at the cafe literally next door. If I'm going to choose between the two, I'm gonna choose the place where the baristas don't ignore me for 10 minutes as soon as I walk in 🤷🏽?♀?
Matcha latté: très très amer.....& j'en bois depuis des années dans les meilleurs cafés. Bref, biscuit ok mais le service, peu avenant je dirais même, très bête. À peine si on nous regarde. Désolée mais c'était ça cet après-midi....& il faisait très chaud à l'intérieur....
Fantastic atmosphere with great music, amazing servers who are very kind & skilled, & to top it off, amazing & creative drinks! Can't recommend this place enough, one of the best cafés in the Mile End. We also got a delicious ube cookie!
Le café est overhyped sur les réseaux sociaux par de beaux visuels mais dans la réalité y'a rien de wow , en plus des mouches qui volent partout autour & l'air chaud du dehors qui les assèche encore plus déjà les cookies ne sont pas aussi beaux en vrai que sur les réseaux ils ont l'air tout secs & le matcha était vraiment pas bon, je soupçonne le lait d'amande d'avoir laissé un goût aussi désagréable, ça m'a coûté presque 8$ & après avoir bu 1/3 je l'ai jeté à la poubelle c'était juste vraiment pas bon, pire que Starbucks , & déjà chez eux c'est pas réputé pour être le meilleur …. Bref je n'y retournerai pas

J'adore explorer de nouveaux cafés en ville, même si j'ai mes petits classiques… mais la page Insta m'a vraiment donné envie, & je ne regrette pas du tout d'y être allée !
Le cookie pistache-chocolat est une vraie pépite : bien dodu, généreux, pas trop sucré, avec un vrai goût de pistache & surtout, des ingrédients de qualité. Moi qui ne suis pas fan de cookies à la base, j'ai été bluffée.
Le latte à la meringue (au lait d'avoine pour moi) était original & vraiment délicieux.
En arrivant, je craignais que ce soit trop sucré ou juste'instagrammable'... mais pas du tout !
Accueil chaleureux malgré l'affluence, ambiance cosy, jolie terrasse…

Beau petit café, serveuse très accueillante. Mon matcha latte était bon mais les biscuits manquaient de goût & étaient secs. Je n'avais pas ajouté du sirop ou meringue sur les biscuits. J'ai goûté de meilleurs biscuits ailleurs qui étaient tendres. J'ai fait le détour à cause des réseaux sociaux mais je ne ferai pas le détour.
J'habite à côté de ce café & depuis son ouverture c'est devenu la référence en cookies, ils sont toujours géniaux. Que j'y aille avec des amies ou avec mes enfants on passe toujours un bon moment. Le fait que les cookies ne soient pas trop sucrés mais contiennent ce qu'il faut pour une réussite de saveur est vraiment agréable, avec une cuisson croustillante à l'extérieure & moelleuse à l'intérieur. Chaque nouvelle recette est une réussite, c'est vraiment un chouette endroit & le décor est cosy.
