I highly recommend this restaurant - they serve very authentic Cantonese breakfast.

The last two visits to La Maison Kam Fung in Brossard were beyond frustrating.
On our first visit, our waiter-a young, tall, slim Asian man-forgot one of our dishes. It took an unreasonably long time to arrive, & by then our 4-year-old granddaughter had already finished eating. We told him we no longer wanted the dish, especially since we don't take leftovers, yet he still tried to charge us for it. My husband had to speak with the manager to get the situation resolved.
Hoping it was just a one-off, we returned recently-but it was even worse. The restaurant was chaotic, & we waited 45 minutes just to be seated. Then another 30 minutes passed before a server came to take our order-unfortunately, it was the same waiter. My husband clearly pointed out the menu we wanted, but the waiter brought out completely different items & insisted we had ordered them. We were all there & witnessed the conversation-he was simply wrong & refused to admit it.
By that point, we were hungry, upset, & honestly shocked by the level of poor service. My husband went straight to the manager & told her we were leaving, explaining exactly why.
This restaurant is disorganized, unreliable, & not worth the hassle. We won't be returning-& I strongly suggest others think twice before going.
This dim sum spot still uses the classic pushcarts, which adds a nostalgic touch. It's great for browsing dishes before choosing, though the carts don't always make it to our table, so might wait for or miss a certain items. The food was decent & the service was swift once seated, but the weekend line was definitely long.
It's a massive dining hall, we were there for dinner.
Service is passable, inattentive, albeit with kind workers. Food is good, nothing spectacular. It appears common dishes are cooked in batches & brought on carts to the various tables. So this makes for a slow dinner service, especially if you're not getting the commonly ordered dishes. & also results in warm but not hot dishes. Dishes are around 20-25.
Pros: plenty of seats & high chairs. They can host big groups.
I'll return for their dimsum service & see how that fares, I wouldn't return for the dinner on a busier day.
