Restaurant Maison Indian Curry, located in Parc-Extension, offers both North and South authentic Indian cuisine. South Indian cuisine is rice based. Rice is combined with lentils to make wonderful dosas, idlis and vadas. These items are glorious and delicious besides being nourishing and digestible. The South Indian food is a brilliant blend of flavors, colors, seasoning (a little hotter than North India food), nutritional balance, fragrance, taste, and visual appeal. A typical North Indian meal would consist of chappatis or parantha (unleavened flat breads), pilafs, dals, curries all seasoned with fresh ingredients. Tandoori cooking is a north Indian specialty and famous all over the world. Tandoori chicken, naan, tandoori kebabs and shrimps are a hit at Maison Indian Curry (Indian Curry House). The Masala dosa(Indian crêpe made by stuffing a dosa with a lightly cooked filling of potatoes, fried onions and spices) is also amongst the best in Montreal. The authentic food, friendly service and cozy ambiance will have you going back to Maison Indian Curry on a regular basis.
Maison Indian Curry House draws broad praise for authentic Indian flavors, with butter chicken, chicken tikka masala, biryani, dal makhni, and naan repeatedly highlighted as standouts and portions that feel generous for the price. Dining in is described as warm and welcoming, while takeout can vary in quality with some dishes oversalted or lacking, though many still enjoy the overall menu. Service is frequently praised for friendliness and attentiveness, contributing to a reliable and comforting experience that makes this a favorite for families and regulars. Overall, it is viewed as a top Montreal option for Indian cuisine, delivering flavorful curries, good value, and a high level of satisfaction despite occasional inconsistencies.
It was our first time here & we absolutely loved it! We ordered the Lamb Thali & the Butter Chicken Thali, & both were delicious. The service was fast & friendly. We will definitely be back & highly recommend this place!

Ordered via Uber eats, the lamb platter & naan were delicious, the mango lassy is way too sweet though.

Removing one star
Butter chicken came in all watery! 😐😐
Amazing food, best Naan bread & amazing lamb korma as well as a Channa Samosa for starters. Really accommodating to big groups, we just called ahead for lunch & the service was great. Really recommend.
We have dined in many times & ordered for delivery many times also & this restaurant never disappoints. We ordered the butter chicken, lamb curry, lamb vindaloo, paneer vindaloo, vegetable pakora, vegetable biryani & garlic paneer. Everything was delicious but the butter chicken is the best here. We eat a lot of Indian food & this is on top of the list for best flavour for everything. The vindaloo sauce could be a little spicier in my opinion but the flavour was still so delicious.

Our favorite indian restaurant. STRENGTHS Butter chicken Channa masala Veggie pakora Lamb vindaloo & madrasi Mango lassi Fresh baked naan A bunch of other meals are good too Of course, pricing is very affordable (about $25 per person but we have a big appetite & order a lot) WEAKNESSES Fish pakora (dry) Malai kofta (not bad, sauce a bit too thick & heavy) Some servers hardly speak english None of those weaknesses are dealbreakers, you can work around it. They're all very sweet & I'm happy to support them. I've tried all the others in the vicinity & this is our favorite for our favorite meals we listed. We come often.
Indian resto bustling with people! Kids had the butter chicken thali which was a good deal. We also tried an indian appetizer (puri pari) with mango lassi. Ordered a tasty mild lamb dish (had to order rice & naan on the side since it is not included in the price), & the sizzling chicken tikka/pork + naan dish. Wasn't able to finish!

EDIT NOVEMBER 14: I recently got more food & my entire family got food poisoning from their lamb korma. The lamb tasted funky & it was very dry Exquisite flavors! The lamb dishes as well as the sambar soup are an absolute delight. Each bite of their biriyani is a symphony of spices & tenderness. The quality of the meat is outstanding, showcasing their commitment to excellence. A must-visit for authentic Indian cuisine!
