Found this place based on others reviews. Had a craving for Thai & this place was close. We shared the spring rolls that were very good & enough for 2. Also shared the lemongrass stir fry with shrimp so we would have room for dessert. It was also amazing & filling but we had to try the coconut mango sticky rice that we heard about & it didnt disappoint. Highly recommend this place.
It is beautifully decorated & great food options. Service is always good as well. I have been here at least 4 times & have always had a good experience. The only dish I would not recommend is the Pad Thai (very popular Thai dish) - it tasted very bland.
Highly recommend the Thai Basil & Peanut Butter Chicken. The Mango Sticky Rice is also very refreshing (not very sweet but good).
Came quite late , 30 min before closing, still waiters were able to get our order & even an extra serving of rice, we hung out on the porch & everyone said bye to us very nice people. Small venue, a bit'hidden' like you have to climb the stairs , & cant just notice it from walking down the street but still worth the little extra steps. I never thought to do this but my friend asked for an extra serving of noodle from his soup, because he basically had to much brother left, & they indulged, I wont assume its an all time thing but little bit I found very commendable on their part.
I ordered the mango salad & it came with uncooked rice that nearly broke my teeth. When i complained they offered me a lollipop
Super friendly staff, with the best thai food in montreal. My go to order: enjoy their Pineapple Fried Rice with Chicken & Medium Spice levels :)
As authentic as it gets! My favorite Thai restaurant in Montreal. I've been back here many times. My go-to dishes are pad see ew & pad kra pao (crispy pork is a MUST), but honestly, everything is delicious :) If you're craving something sweet, don't miss the Thai iced tea & mango sticky rice!
One of the best Thai places out there!!
Incredibly fresh & delicious spring rolls & some of the best fried rice I've ever had!! & the service was incredible!!
Mai Fried Rice with beef was life changing. Must visit if you're in town. I wish I was a local here just for this food.
Fried rice was well seasoned. Large portions, one dish is good for two.
We had the pad thai, red curry & mango sticky rice. The flavours was amazing; it was way better than we expected. The mango sticky rice was just okay. Their price is a bit high but that was expected for the location.
Great place & good food. Had the tom kha (18$?) & it was really nice. No noodles in the soup but I added the extra jasmin rice (+2$) & it was enough for a dinne
All good, calamari as starter, red curry soap with shrimps for main & sticky rice with mango sorbet for dessert. Red curry was exceptional!
Really great place with excellent food & staff. We had the pad thai, fried rice & drunken noodle which very prepared really well. The service was amazing & the staff were very inviting. We will certainly revisit next time.
This restaurant is truly a gem. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by Chris who had such amazing energy. The food was phenomenal. The portions were great. The chefs made everything fresh in the open kitchen & you can literally taste it. Everything was seasoned & cooked to perfection. We had to thank the chefs personally. I will definitely revisit if I'm back in Montreal!
Highly recommend the Calamari, Shrimp Pad Thai, Tum Yum Fried Rice, Tofu Drunken Noodle & Mango Sticky Rice!
The restaurant was packed when we arrived & we were lucky to have gotten a table without having to wait. I would suggest reserving a table if you plan to visit this restaurant. Not only was the restaurant crowded, I felt like there was very little space in between the tables so dining here felt a bit less intimate than I would have preferred. The food itself was great, I enjoyed the flavours but it was a little bit too salty & I wish the food would be a bit spicier. The mango sticky rice dessert was so pretty but I also felt like the sweetness was lacking a bit. The service was decent. The waitress was running around the whole night so she couldn't really refill our water or check up on us but she was still polite & respectful. She wasn't really friendly or welcoming due to the rush but she was still working really efficiently & the food was served really quickly after we ordered which was surprising considering the amount of people at the restaurant.
We had a wonderful experience dining at Mai Thai. We were a group of 7 people, celebrating my uncles 90th birthday. We ordered the papaya salad, & calamari, they were incredible. The house sauces were humming with the right balance of sweet, sour & spicy.
For the mains, we ordered pad thai with shrimp, two from their signature collection, the crispy pork with Thai basil & green curry with chicken. Everything was outstanding & delish. The food is cooked in an open kitchen & our server Goui, ( I hope I got your name right! ) was such sweet & lovely person.
Nothing was overly spicy, we loved all the dishes, the portions were generous & the flavours very authentic.
The mango sticky rice, was just the right note to finish the night.
A fantastic combination of authenticity, flavour, great food & cozy ambience.
Can't wait to be back soon.
It was awesome place to have the authentic Thai . All my order dishes was delicious, especially the mango sticky rice. Papaya salad, pad sew, red curry & satays
The pad thai , if they add the fried tofu as garnish would absolute .
This is a great spot to eat & enjoy a fun time socializing with friends. The restaurant is small, cozy, & beautifully decorated. The food is definitely worth making a detour for.
While we were seated, we saw many people coming in to order takeout-it's clearly a favorite among locals. The menu was thoughtfully designed, & the presentation of the dishes matched the quality of the taste.
If you decide to drop by, try the pineapple fried rice-it was a favorite in our group! Also, don't miss the mango sticky rice. & be sure to explore the rest of the menu-they have some excellent noodle options as well.
Lastly, I want to highlight the service. It's easy to forget that the person serving us plays a big role in the overall dining experience. A special shoutout to JOOI, who served our table-you were amazing!
I can confidently say this was one of the best Thai meals I've ever had! Absolutely authentic, incredibly flavorful, & made with so much care. Every dish we ordered was a hit, & the service was just as impressive!
We started with the Bang Bang Shrimp Tornado, Thai Hot Wings, & crispy calamari, all cooked to perfection. The shrimp had the perfect crunch with that addictive sweet-spicy glaze, the wings were full of bold Thai flavor, & the calamari was tender inside with just the right crispiness.
For our mains, we had the Pad Thai, Fried Rice, & Drunken Noodles, each one was packed with flavor & had that signature balance of sweet, spicy, savory, & tangy that Thai cuisine is known for. The Drunken Noodles in particular were a standout - perfectly chewy noodles, fresh veggies, & a bold sauce with just the right heat.
On top of the amazing food, the service was truly 10/10. The staff were friendly, attentive, & made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived.
If you're craving authentic Thai food that's bursting with flavor & served with heart, this is the place. I'm already planning my next visit!
