I really liked the vibe of this restaurant. The dining area was open so you can see the kitchen staff preparing meals. The exposed brick with nice wall art, & Thai art & statues interspersed around the modern looking dining room also added to the cozy vibe.
The service was great, our server was super kind & efficient. The food & drinks were so flavourful & fresh. Highly recommend.
I went to Mai Cuisine Thai yesterday for a cozy birthday lunch with my grandma, & it honestly couldn't have been more perfect.
This spot has been one of my favorites for a while. The space feels warm & inviting, with exposed brick & a colorful elephant mural that immediately makes it feel comforting & lived-in. It was snowing lightly outside, & watching the flurries through the window while sitting inside felt so peaceful. They also play a fun pop playlist, which I always appreciate.
My grandma loves spring rolls, so bringing her here felt like an obvious choice. We started with my staple appetizers. The vegetarian spring rolls, made from scratch in-house, are still my favorite. Perfectly crispy without being greasy, with fresh vegetables that still have a nice crunch, plus a sweet dipping sauce that ties everything together. Such a great birthday snack.
We also ordered the Thai hot wings, which come in a very close second place for me & are something I constantly crave. They were hot, juicy, & nicely crispy, coated in a spicy-sweet sauce with just enough heat to be exciting without overwhelming your taste buds.
I had my usual creamy Thai iced tea, & my grandma ordered ginger tea to warm her up.
Since we weren't very hungry, we shared the chicken pad Thai, which was comforting, balanced, & perfect for sharing.
When I mentioned it was my birthday, the sweet server brought me their homemade mango ice cream. Light, refreshing, & such a lovely way to end the meal.
Mai Cuisine Thai is one of those places that feels like a pause from busy city life. Cozy, welcoming, & made for slow lunches & good company. I loved introducing my grandma to one of my favorite gems in the city & celebrating a new year of life in such a simple, meaningful way.
This is a real Thai restaurant by Thai chef in Montreal. They speak Thai here.
We tried several dishes. Pad Thai, Khao Soi Gai, Larb, fried pork with Thai basil, etc. All are Thai tastes. All of them had genuine Thai flavors, & everyone in our family really enjoyed the food. Personally, I found the dishes very good, though they would be even better if the sweetness were slightly reduced.
If you want to have Thai food when you are in Mobtreal, we certainly recommend this restaurant.
Wow! Everything is so delicious here & well proportioned! I've only ordered through uber eats & fell in love with this restaurant. Their Tom Yum Soup, Chicken red curry, Shrimp Pad Thai, Khao Soi are all so tasty & authentic! I had to stop going to the Thai restaurant near my home 😂
Very good, authentic Thai food. The food was very flavourful, fresh, large portions. We weren't a fan of the signature seafood dish as it was too salty, battered & deep fried which was not expected from the menu description. Nice atmosphere & service with Thai style decor & open kitchen.
Mai Thai Cuisines is fantastic, I have ordered catering from them multiple times. Easy to coordinate, on-time delivery, & the food was so good. Everything tasted fresh, the portions were generous, & guests kept asking where it was from (& went back for seconds). Super smooth experience every time, thank you Mai Thai!
The restaurant provides the real thai flavor. It is a hidden gems in Montreal. Appetizers were all perfectly cooked. Pad thai was so amazing. Definitely would come back again!
Amazing Thai food in the heart of Montreal! Everything tasted authentic, fresh, & full of flavor-just like home-style Thai cooking. The dishes were beautifully presented & perfectly balanced, & the service was warm & welcoming. You can really feel the passion of a family-run restaurant. Highly recommend Mai Thai Cuisine if you're craving real Thai food on St-Denis!
The food was amazing. Very authentic filled with deep rooted Thai flavors. The staff were polite & humble. Will go again anytime.
We had the pad thai, red curry & mango sticky rice. The flavours was amazing; it was way better than we expected. The mango sticky rice was just okay. Their price is a bit high but that was expected for the location.
Authentic Thai. Had the Thom Kha Soup... was unbelievably delicious!!
Best Thai experience in Montreal! Delicious & great service, fast & clean. 5th time here & we keep on coming back because it's that good.
As a Thai person, the only reasonable option was extremely spicy, & I ended up crying. Thank you, this is exactly what I wanted!
Definitely our favorite Thai restaurant spot in Montreal! Amazing service & great food as always! Khob khun ka 🙏
An excellent & cozy restaurant with wonderful Thai cuisine. We were pleasantly surprised by the service, the huge portions (definitely come here hungry!), & the atmosphere of the place, creating a sense of genuine Thai hospitality. We'll definitely be coming back!
I've been ordering from Mai Thai Cuisine for a long time - the food is delicious, no complaints about that. But! My last two orders were disappointing.
On the previous one, the Tom Yum soup was spilled because the container wasn't closed properly. & today, I used an in-app promotion for 2 Pad Thaï for the price of one (around $23 for both) - but I was charged the full amount instead!
That's really frustrating & feels like a rip-off. I hope the restaurant pays more attention to packaging & respects the promotions they advertise.
