Kids loved their options (chicken fingers & grilled cheese). We started with the beef tartare. Absolutely delicious. Crostini killed the flavour so definitely eat them inbetween bites, not with the tartare on top. Taro chip was much better. Could've had a stack of those instead of the crostini. The soup that day was a lentil soup which was hearty & delicious & piping hot, which was good since we were coming in from the cold. I had the Nagano pork which tasted great, especially with the sauce. Zero complaints. My wife had the rice noodle stirfry which was super-unfortunate. I know some readers may go "you deserve it for ordering Asian food at a grill" but if you put it on your menu, it should at least be decent. Blob of rice noodles (overcooked or cooked ahead of time & left to congeal maybe?) with sauce poured on top, not fried together (super obvious since plenty of white noodles not covered in sauce). Super unsure if anything in that dish had ever seen a wok. I insisted my wife send it back but she was too full from the tartare to finish the whole dish anyway. Anyway, great place, I'm sure most of the food is good but do avoid the rice noodles, or better yet, the restaurant should just replace that menu item with something else.
Well located in Old Montreal near the old port & directly connected to William Gray hotel. A cosy nicely decorated restaurant with a wide variety of selection on the menu. We went for Sunday brunch & the experience was almost perfect. We both opted for the « happening gourmand » which was an excellent price-quality ratio & a great value 2-course brunch as advertised. Everything looks good on the menu, but we went for the homemade smoothie, yogurt, eggs Benedict & the pancakes. The 2 items tasted really good; the Benedict was amazing, well balanced & flavorful but could have used a bit more hollandaise sauce, the pancakes was also excellent but the presentation & plate size needed a bit more work. The service was excellent from the time we walked in until we left. The wait was a bit long between the 2 courses, but to be expected as the restaurant was very busy. Overall very good & worth the detour!
We just stopped for drinks, but the outdoor patio is amazing for people watching, assuming good weather. The inside is actually quite large.
Great place to go to brunch, good food, nice atmosphere, friendly staff & amazing service. Not to mention, it's kid-friendly. In terms of food, I had the mushroom omlette, with extra ham on the side. Omlette, potatoes & bread were really good. The only slight disappointment came from the amount of fruit that came with the plate. I didn't expect a bowl or anything but it wasn't much. Overall great experience, I highly recommend it.
Superbe endroit !
Amazing drinks! Our bartender Camilo was the absolute best!!! Coming back for sure
Food was INCREDIBLE!!!!! The steak - beyond 🤤 Émeric was our waiter & he was attentive, kind, & top notch. They surprised us with a dessert board for our anniversary & it was darling & very appreciated. We were visiting MTL for Igloofest, & the food did not disappoint! Thank you again!
My boyfriend & I only came here for drinks, but the barmaid Isabelle was amazing. She was so fast, nice, helpful, & her drinks were great!!! Thank you ❤️
