Their French onion soup is absolutely spectacular, rich, flavorful, & comforting. They made this version with beer.
The lunch menu is very well thought out, starting at around $28 CAD per person. You can choose a main & a dessert, or a main & an appetizer, & there are small extras for certain upgrades. For example, selecting the onion soup comes with a $4 CAD extra.
Portions are larger than I expected. I also tried the stuffed pasta, which was really tasty & cooked perfectly.
Overall, a great spot
Just had a lovely dinner at Maggie Oakes. Pascal, Emil, & the gentleman who welcomed us were professional & attentive. The food was delicious (Maggie's cheeseburger & sesame crusted salmon, salad & dessert), & the service from all members of the team was excellent. Would definitely go again when in the area.

Dining at this restaurant is always a pleasure. I selected this place to introduce my friends to one of Montreal's hidden gems, & once again, it exceeded all expectations. Despite the heavy rain outside, the staff remained kind, attentive, & welcoming throughout our visit.
We started our evening with cocktails & wine in the central lounge, which offered a cozy, intimate setting. Although we arrived without a reservation, one of the managers accommodated us, providing a table in a particularly special spot near the vertical garden. The seating was comfortable, & the lighting was just right, enhancing the overall ambiance.
Our waitress was friendly & attentive from the moment we sat down. The restaurant's atmosphere strikes a perfect balance between modern & elegant, making it suitable for any occasion. The music played at a perfect volume, allowing for easy conversation.
As always, the food was outstanding. Every dish was crafted with fresh, high-quality ingredients, & the variety of desserts was the perfect conclusion to our meal. The service was impeccable, with the staff going above & beyond to ensure we had an exceptional experience.
I will definitely be returning & highly recommend the Steak Bavette, Salmon Tartare, the tropical cocktail, & of course, the desserts.

Christmas dinner with the team.
Once again, we enjoyed a wonderful business dinner at a restaurant we truly love. From the moment we arrived, the experience was exceptional. The warm, welcoming atmosphere combined with the modern décor immediately set the tone for a memorable evening.
Being asked where we preferred to sit made us feel genuinely valued-having that choice is all about comfort. Continuing our now-established tradition during business dinners, we were welcomed with glasses of sparkling wine upon arrival.
We began with a selection of the house specialty cocktails, the perfect way to open our appetites. Sacha, the restaurant director, was, as always, friendly, attentive, & meticulous, ensuring that every detail contributed to an outstanding experience.
For starters, we shared popcorn shrimp, salmon tartare, chicken Caesar salad, & grilled tuna tataki-each dish was delicious & beautifully presented. For the main courses, we chose the grilled salmon, steak baguette, & cod. Every plate was flawlessly presented, with each dish cooked to perfection.
To finish, we enjoyed a perfectly curated dessert selection, offering both variety & indulgence-the ideal way to close the evening.
The service was impeccable throughout the night, consistently attentive & always ready to assist, whether refilling water or suggesting another drink.

Everything was excellent form the wide variety of choice buffet, the in house made dessert table was a nice touch. Our waiter Jeremey was great & so were all staff .
This was our last stop before returning to Massachusetts & we couldn't have picked a better place. The atmosphere was so perfect for us our Waiter/bartender, Bruce, was so helpful in advising us, & the dessert was WONDERFUL!!! We are so happy that we chose Maggie Oakes restaurant & that we had Bruce as our waiter MAGNIFIQUE!

Restaurant très fréquenté en haute saison. Les prix des plats de viandes dépendent du marché mais restent assez élevés. Exemple 16 Oz d'une côte de boeuf coûte 64$CAD.
Nous y sommes retournés cet été 2025 malheureusement déçu. De part le prix de 16 oz de viande à 80 CAD la qualité a changé. C'est moins bon qu'avant & de plus sur 2 plats de viande commandés saignant l'un était médium ce n'est pas maîtrisé du tout.
Les desserts aussi, très très peu de choix & rien d'extra.
Je n'y retournerai plus .
De plus ce jour-là c'était assez bruyant à l'intérieur. Des convives parlaient fort à table.
Steaks, pasta, desserts, everything was perfect . Service was great , this was a great family experience .
WONDERFUL Brunch! My hubby & I had a wonderful & delicious brunch here on a Saturday in March. It is quite a large restaurant but still felt warm & intimate. We had a 2 course brunch & the selections to choose from were great. We each ordered something different so we can try a wide variety of dishes. Each dish was flavorful & tasty. We didn't order a dessert, but the waiter brought out a sweet chocolate dish with a sparkler on it & said'Happy Anniversary!'. I noted we were celebrating our anniversary when I made the reservation & it was soooo kind that they took note & made such a lovely gesture.

Le service était impeccable. J'ai commandé une crème de champignons très savoureuse, une brochette de boeuf tendre & juteuse:) Le dessert a volé la vedette de tous les plats par ses saveurs de fruits de la passion marié à un gâteau fromage avec un détail impressionnant de feuille de fleur qui était en réalité une meringue exceptionnelle. Vous pouvez vous-même constater par la photo que tous les plats sont dignes de vrais chefs culinaire & le dessert doté d'une présentation digne d'un vrai chef pâtissier haute gamme.
Excellent restaurant. Top notch service from Louis. We started with a wine flight which was paired with an appetizer bite. 2 whites & a red. Amazing pairings & what a start to the good. Our starters were wonderful...a goat cheese salad & Pate for my husband. We both had the 46 day dry aged NY strip with vegetables & a bourdalize sauce. The yuzu cream puff dessert was out of this world. We loved our meal so much we went back a second night to see Louis again. I highly recommend Maggie Oakes!!!
Alors certes la cuisine est bonne... Mais le prix largement est surcôté ! & surtout le service est interminable alors que nous sommes en semaine & que le restaurant n'est pas plein... 30 min pour le vin, 45 min poor le plat, au bout de 20 min à attendre un serveur pour commander le dessert, nous avons préféré partir.
Multiples repas dans cet établissement & jusqu'à présent, jamais déçu. Accueil sympathique & service impeccable. Le menu est concis mais avec des options, selon moi, pour plaire à tous les goûts. Ambiance décontractée, carte des vins avec plusieurs options & plusieurs prix. On prend soin de vous sans être trop présent. Nous avons opté pour une entrée partagée: crevettes avec céleri rémoulade. Très bon. Niveau repas: choux fleur & saumon. Encore une fois, c'est très appréciable. Pour ce qui est des desserts, selon moi, pas au même niveau que les plats. Nous avons pris le Paris Brest. Crème un peu compacte & la pâte à choux un peu "élastique". Nous y allons régulièrement & nous y retournerons. Endroit fort sympathique malgré son emplacement considéré comme "touristique". Offre qui peut plaire autant aux touristes qu'aux locaux.
Very efficient & attentive staff! Convivial atmosphere too! The steak frites included a delicious au jus & tender yet crisp vegetables. The caesar salad was a wonderful starter & included a Parmesan crisp. Very thankful to the staff of Maggie Oakes for providing a complimentary dessert (with a sparkler) for the bride-to-be & overall a joyous bachelorette dinner for us all!
Server was very nice & helpful with the menu. We got Caesar salad & shrimp cocktail as appetizer. Then the Steak Bavette for dinner which was really good along with seasonal veggies & fries. The perfect combo. Also tried the soup of the day. & got the cheese cake for dessert which was tasty.

WOW! Très beau restaurant, le personnels super souriant. De l'entrée au dessert ce fut DÉLICIEUX! Nous avons eu un service EXTRAORDINAIRE de nôtre serveur Louis-Jacques! (Merci Louis-Jacques!) Nous avons pris l'entrée de salades césar, crevettes croustillantes, & bien sûr le T-bone avec légumes... Miammm...Je recommande ce restaurant & j'y retourne bientôt pour profiter de la magnifique terrasse! Je recommande!
